Program Planning Supervisor, Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire

<p>As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a <strong>Program Planning Supervisor. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Senior Planner will be an expert in Primavera P6.&nbsp; The Senior Planner will lead and be accountable for the Planning drumbeat of the A350 Program.&nbsp; The drumbeat will be as follows: There will be several Integrated Program Teams who each have a Project Controller running the schedule for that Team, the collection of all the IPT schedules will be the weekly inputs into the P6 Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>To be accountable for the effectiveness and efficiency of this drumbeat and all plans at both IPT and Program levels.</li> <li>To be accountable for the management of the weekly turn-round-time to update the P6 IMS and that it is completed inside 24 hours to maintain credibility in order that it is seen as the driving force for the Program on time delivery culture.</li> <li>The IPT plans will be base lined to the latest P6 dates so that any variance in week since last P6 update will be measured from the latest P6 dates.</li> <li>The Senior Planner will be responsible for the review of the updated plan each week ensuring any mistakes or broken links are removed before being delivered to Program Director for approval.</li> <li>The Senior Planner will report to the PMO Manager and it is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to deputise for the PMO Manager during holiday/s or sickness.</li> <li>The Senior Planner will assist the PMO Manager in up-skilling the Project Controllers in P6 and MSP until they have all reached the requisite standard to ensure only quality data is provided as inputs to the IMS during the weekly update cycle.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal candidate will have the following - </strong></p> <ul> <li>Educated to at least A Level standard (or equivalent)</li> <li>Experienced Senior Planner with a proven track record over a minimum of 5 years managing and executing the planning of major complex programs using Primavera P6</li> <li>Previous experience in&nbsp;Earned Value Management experience, Resource Management, including levelling techniques, Risk Adjustment Schedule (monte carlo analysis) and the ability to write tailored reports in P6</li> <li>Good leadership, man-management and interpersonal skills with a track record of leading a successful and organised planning team.</li> <li>Proven track record of positively influencing planning teams of up to 10 planners to achieve optimal time, cost and performance goals.</li> <li>Good client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels</li> <li>Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team</li> <li>Can demonstrate expert knowledge on Primavera P6 (mandatory)</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.</li> <li>Advanced knowledge of MS Project (Essential)</li> </ul>
