The role will be based in central Europe.</p> <p>As the successful Deputy COO, you will be responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer, providing Operational Leadership and Management to ensure proper operational controls, measurement and reporting systems to support the safe, effective and reliable operation of the airline.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>As the successful Deputy COO, you will be responsible for:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure Engineering and Maintenance is performed in a cost effective way and to the highest safety standards in the industry</li> <li>Ensure Engineering and Maintenance is fully compliant with all regulations applicable in both EASA and FAA spaces</li> <li>Manage in a cost effective way all fleet dynamics, including phase-in and phase-out of aircraft and aircraft reconfigurations, including cabin reconfigurations. Fleet dynamics should be superiorly planned with planning and project management and reporting duties allowing all stakeholders in projects to have superior visibility over project costs and risks</li> <li>Plan most cost effective way of having aircraft airworthy with acceptable dispatch reliability;</li> <li>Assist COO and C-Management in project management, project reporting and cost reporting and control, with deliverables of project management duties being state-of-the-art and available in appropriate format to be used with internal and external clients of the different projects </li> <li>Assist COO and C-Management in designing and implementing strategies to improve the company’s unique selling proposition of being a provider of flexible short solutions with short lead times and with superior cost and performance reliability</li> <li>Assist COO and C-Management in designing and implementing strategies to secure best cost rates in industry, commensurate with geography where the company operates and product positioning The company contracts with clients </li> <li>Promote cost effective management methods to ensure a flexible and scalable cost set-up for Engineering and Maintenance both for the company SA (Swiss AOC) and the company GMBH (Germany)</li> <li>Promote and ensure cost planning and cost control but at low frequency – including yearly or multi-year budgets – and at high-frequency (continuous cost accounting and control) </li> <li>Liaise as focal point between Finance (CFO) and Engineering and Maintenance to allow full visibility of Engineering and Maintenance Costs</li> <li>Promote control methodologies for Eng. & Maintenance related logistics, sourcing and purchasing activities</li> <li>Assist the Accountable Managers and the NPCAs whenever needed with their regulatory duties.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>To be considered for this role, you must meet the following:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Fluency in English is a MUST</li> <li>German and / or French highly desirable</li> <li>Minimum 10 years’ experience in the Airline Industry</li> <li>Senior and seasoned Engineer with proven track record of Eng. & Maintenance management, especially, fleet dynamics, at demanding organization </li> <li>A licensed aircraft engineer is a MUST</li> <li>Superior project management skills </li> <li>Customer focused, both towards internal and external customers.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p align="left"><strong>Package: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Competitive salary</li> <li>Transportation, schooling, health insurance and flights provided</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p align="left"><strong>Start Date</strong>: As soon as possible</p> <p align="left"> </p> <p align="left"><strong>APPLY NOW:</strong></p> <p align="left">If you are interested to move to your next challenge or would like to learn more about career opportunities, then please send your CV via the application button </p> <p align="left"><strong>We are looking forward to hearing from you!</strong></p>
