We now seek to strengthen our Airline Operations Shared Service team. The position will be located in the New York or Boston area working on behalf of the AOC and reporting to the Ground Operations Manager&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> <strong>Role Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>•&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Responsible for coordinating day-to-day ground handling activities on behalf of the AOC.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Represent the Company at various meetings or as requested by either the NP/Deputy or Ground Ops Manager.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure all ground-handling operations is performed in accordance with AOC GOM and SLA<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage both the SGHA and SLA on behalf of AOC /Ground operations Manager&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Report any KPI failures to NAI for on-time performance, baggage irregularities and passenger’s satisfaction&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Responsible for the follow-up of quality delivery failures.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Carry out weekly stakeholder operational meetings on behalf of NP/Ground Operations Manager and both record and issue meeting minutes.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure monthly Area Managers report is completed in a timely manner and send onto the Ground Operations Manager&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Support the QA team on audits and inspections&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Carry our Safety investigations on behalf of NP/Ground Operations Manager if requested<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Provide feedback to both the Contract Manager and Ground Operations Manager if there is a failure in the agreed quality level.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Carry our site visits and quality checks as requested<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Development and maintenance of procedures and documentation necessary to ensure the safe and efficient Ground Operations<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage Ground Operations training, scheduling and planning network wide to ensure standardised training standards network wide<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage Ground Operations procedures, training, regulations, manuals and material for operational joint ventures, partnerships and alliances<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Identify key risks and trends in and develop procedures/systems to mitigate identified risks<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Implement the timely and efficient organisation of the internal SMS and corrective actions plans for Ground Operations<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Be responsible for ensuring that the ground operations organization is adequately resourced and managed<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Manage and monitor service providers to ensure the ground operations product is delivered effectively and to maximize customer satisfaction<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Be responsible for the supervision and training as necessary of the Company’s ground handling agents and ground operations staff<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ensure station inspections are performed in cooperation with the Quality Department and ensure corrective actions are implemented for any findings<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Prepare the annual budget and monitor the costs for the airlines ground operations and remain within budgetary parameters.<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ground Operations SMS and H &amp; S Correspondent/Audits and<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Liaise with the Head of Security for network security, immigration issues, fines and investigations<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Have overall responsibility for the Stations Database in terms maintaining and updating this database on a monthly basis</p> <p><br /> <strong>Qualifications</strong><br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Minimum 2 years work experience in Ground Operations / Ground Handling at management level across multiple sites/states + Extensive Ground Operations experience&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Long-haul and short-haul experience&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience within an airline a must, including at least a fleet of 10+<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Expertise in Ground Handling Regulations and familiar with fundamentals of Load Control and Ramp Handling<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Effective planning/organizing skills, customer focused and analytical with good judgment, able to work under pressure and a team player<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Fluent in written and spoken English<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Thorough knowledge of MS Office and management systems&nbsp;<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Relevant Aviation, Commercial and Management Training an advantage<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Extensive Ground Operations experience and background<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Detailed knowledge of Ground Handling requirements, agreements &amp; SLA’s<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Previous experience of managing a team of people and third party suppliers<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Ability to work well under pressure<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;High degree of personal/professional flexibility<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Excellent people management skills<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Proven influencing and problem solving skills<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;Strong administration skills and experience<br /> •&nbsp;&nbsp;
