About this role

<p>As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions based at our Leighton Buzzard facility, including a <strong>Program Planner. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>Reporting to the PMO Manager, the Program Planner will work with the Manager to drive the weekly planning drumbeat of the A350 Program and assist the manager in up-skilling the team in P6 and MSP until they have all reached the required standard to ensure only quality data is provided.&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p> <ul> <li>The Planner will work with the Senior Planner to drive the weekly planning drumbeat of the A350 Program.&nbsp; The drumbeat will be as follows: <ul> <li>There will be several Integrated Program Teams who each have a Project Controller running the schedule for that Team.</li> <li>The collection of all IPT schedules will form the weekly inputs into the P6 Integrated Master Schedule (IMS).</li> </ul> </li> <li>The Planner will be responsible for the effectiveness and efficiency of this drumbeat and work with the Senior Planner who is responsible for the weekly turn-round-time to update the P6 IMS and that it is completed inside 24 hours to maintain credibility in order that it is seen as the driving force for the Program on time delivery culture.</li> <li>The Planner will be responsible for the review of the updated plan each week ensuring any mistakes or broken links are removed before being delivered to Program Director for approval.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The Ideal candidate will have the following - </strong></p> <ul> <li>Good man-management, interpersonal skills, client facing skills with the confidence to deal with people at all levels</li> <li>Capable of working independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team</li> <li>Can demonstrate expert knowledge on Primavera P6</li> <li>Good verbal and written communication skills including report writing and presentation skills.</li> <li>Ability to construct what if scenarios/proposals for senior management.&nbsp;</li> <li>Educated to degree level in a business or technical subject</li> <li>We are looking for an experienced Planner with a proven track record in executing and driving the planning of major complex programmes using Primavera P6.</li> </ul> <p>The following would be an advantage –</p> <ul> <li>Can demonstrate expert knowledge on other planning tools</li> <li>Detailed knowledge of Primavera Risk Analysis</li> </ul>
