<p>GAL Air Navigation Services (GAL ANS) LLC is currently seeking Briefing Assistants to join our expanding Aeronautical Information Management (AIM) team at Abu Dhabi International Airport.&nbsp; The Briefing Assistant will be responsible for pre-flight and post flight briefing services and Airport Reporting Office responsibilities to ensure the successful delivery of all aspects of the AIS and briefing services provided to all ADAC Airports.</p> <p><strong>GAL Air Navigation Services</strong></p> <p>We provide specialized Air Traffic Services, Air Navigation Services, Air Navigation Training and aerospace support services with a commitment to excellence, quality, safety and value.&nbsp; GAL ANS continued its growth in 2015, handling over 485,000 air traffic movements in the UAE FIR across its contracts.</p> <p>Over 23 million passengers passed through Abu Dhabi International Airport in 2015, an increase of over 17%.&nbsp; The airport is the second largest in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and one of the fastest growing airport hubs globally, serving over 93 destinations in 56 countries. You will be a part of a multi-cultural professional team providing Air Navigation Services within the UAE.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Processing and disseminate flight plans for aircraft departing, arriving and transiting Abu Dhabi CTA, (and other ADAC managed airports when required).</li> <li>Ensure flight plans comply syntactically and semantically with ICAO 4444 standards, and any further requirements by local, national, regional and international authorities.</li> <li>Action as required, delay, arrival, change, departure, RQP and cancellation messages via AFTN.</li> <li>Processing, checking, recording and maintaining the NOTAM database.</li> <li>Taking action on NOTAM request from relevant authorized data originators.</li> <li>Preparing Preflight Information Bulletin as requested by airlines and other operating agencies.</li> <li>Maintain through knowledge and updated information related to ICAO Annexes, documents and related local instructions and company regulations.</li> <li>Once trained provide expert knowledge of UAE and surrounding airspace route structure and restrictions.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Experience/Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years in a flight planning/airline operations environment at an equivalent international airport (preferably in UAE international airports).</li> <li>Excellent knowledge of the rules and regulations regarding AIS functions and flight planning.</li> <li>Experience in the UAE/GCC would be considered an advantage.</li> <li>Good spoken, reading and writing skills in English. Ability to speak and read Arabic would be an advantage.</li> <li>Good communication and interpersonal skills with excellent customer service, both internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>This successful candidate will be required to work shifts as the briefing facility is available H24, 7 days a week.</li> <li>The&nbsp;selected candidate must have UAE Valid driving license with own car/transportation arrangements from and&nbsp;to&nbsp;work.</li> </ul>
