<p><strong>** Safety & Reliability Engineer **</strong></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p>Do you have significant experience working as a Safety & Reliability Engineer? Have you got a good knowledge and understanding of aircraft brake control systems? If so this opportunity as a Safety & Reliability Engineer could be perfect for you!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>** You shall report directly to the Safety & Reliability Manager **</strong></p> <p><strong>** This role is based in the UK **</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>As the Safety & Reliability Engineer, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide technical expertise in safety and reliability engineering with an in depth knowledge and experience of fault analysis techniques, processes and tools emphasising the following analyses and reports</li> <li>Reliability Prediction</li> <li>Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)</li> <li>Failure Modes and Effects Summary (FMES)</li> <li>Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)</li> <li>Common Mode Analysis (CMA)</li> <li>Preliminary System Safety Assessment (PSSA)</li> <li>System Safety Assessment (SSA)</li> <li>Maintainability and MSG-3 Analyses</li> </ul> <p>In addition to the specific RMS analyses and reports identified above, the following responsibilities may also be assigned:</p> <ul> <li>Developing processes and procedures to support the RMS roadmap</li> <li>Derivation of Safety Requirements in System/HW/SW Specifications</li> <li>Participating in ARP4754A related audits, design reviews and Systems Engineering peer reviews</li> <li>Involvement in Change Control Board as safety representative</li> <li>Provide the project team with expert safety and reliability advice throughout the development phase and at key milestones.</li> </ul> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>To be considered for the role of Reliability & Safety Engineer you must: </strong></p> <ul> <li>Safety and Reliability experience is essential</li> <li>Electronics degree</li> <li>Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated safety and reliability issues</li> <li>Experience in carrying out safety and reliability analyses</li> <li>Planning, delivering and managing work packages throughout the system development lifecycle and consolidating into a system safety assessment (PSSA, SSA)</li> <li>Providing reliability predictions through appropriate analysis</li> <li>Plan and develop reliability growth and validation activities to meet all reliability requirements</li> <li>Provide cost and schedule estimates on complicated engineering programs</li> <li>Must be able to work in close liaison with customers, suppliers and work-share partners</li> <li>Interfacing with third party certification bodies</li> <li>Good general IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.</li> <li>Knowledge of safety approval processes and regulatory requirements and experience of delivering against these</li> </ul> <p><strong>Desirable</strong></p> <ul> <li>Brake Control System architectural understanding</li> <li>Familiarity with tools such as CAFTA, PTC Windchill, Relex and DOORS</li> <li>Working knowledge of ARP4754A</li> </ul> <p>Send in your CV today to find out more about this fantastic opportunity!</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Oaklands Global Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy. </strong></p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
