Field Service Engineer - Technical Simulator Generalists

<p>CAE Parc are presently recruiting for the role of <strong>Field Service Engineer, </strong>for our client a Pilot Training Organization, <strong>based in Malaysia</strong>.</p><p><u><strong>Job Summary:</strong></u></p><p>Field Service Units (FSUs) are technical simulator generalists that frequently travel to customer sites worldwide to support issue clearance initiatives and project deployment.&nbsp; They&rsquo;re not specialists in any specific area and expected to cover a variety of difference systems and skills.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><u><strong>Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities:</strong></u></p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul> <li>Work on variety of software issues, snags, SPRs</li><li>Interact through Sim issues and ensure ECDs and RBDs are met</li><li>Often travel to customer sites to help with issue closure initiatives</li><li>Often the main point of contact of system specialists in Montreal in debugging issues.</li><li>Support AOG situations in their region and travel a short notice</li><li>Give accurate feedback to the organization and customers</li><li>Support project in a technical role by supporting various systems</li><li>Part of a team responsible for updating computers, avionic systems, visual and various other systems on flight simulators.</li><li>Often travel to customer sites to aid in project deployment and correctly deploy software/hardware</li></ul> <p>systems.</p><ul> <li>Often the main point of contact of system specialists in Montreal in debugging issues.</li><li>Can be involved in the qualification and QTG package generation of the flight simulator</li><li>Can be involved in the hardware integration of the flight simulator</li><li>Solid expertise in one or two main simulation systems and developing skills in a further one or two systems.</li><li>Show good autonomous working style and dependability with minimum oversight</li><li>Be able to pass knowledge and skills to more junior staff</li><li>Show some leadership on site and take good ownership of work</li><li>Complexity &amp; Problem Solving - problems must be solved or dealt with by modifying current procedures or selecting a course of action, which may not be defined in operating procedures, or by Company policy<strong>.</strong></li></ul> <p><strong><u>Knowledge &amp; Skills Required:</u></strong></p><ul> <li>Educational Background &ndash; Bachelor Degree</li><li>Job-Related Experience &ndash; 2 to 5 Years</li><li>Bachelor in engineering (Software or Computer) recommended (NOT REQUIRED).</li><li>Excellent Software / Computer background including Hardware and software integration.</li><li>Programming in C is a requirement.</li><li>Programming in Fortran is an asset.</li><li>Good communication and feedback skills.</li><li>Potential for growth to mentor other FSUs.</li><li>Good knowledge of aerospace business and flight training business is recommended</li><li>Good Customer relation skills</li><li>Good Team leadership skills</li><li>Good problem solving methodology</li><li>Good Time management</li><li>Good Prioritization and organization skills</li></ul> <p>&nbsp;</p><p>Interested candidates that meet the above desired knowledge and skills, please submit your Cv as soon as possible.</p><p><br /></p>
