Configuration Manager

<p>As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available at our Leighton Buzzard Facility in the UK, including a <strong>Configuration Manager</strong>.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will be required to manage the configuration team and direct the Change Management [CM] and Configuration Control Management [CCM] process, to ensure that the CM / CCM process meets the requirement of both the company and its customer base via the provision of a qualitative suite of processes that is validated via a process of systematic audit / feedback and audit finding resolution.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Specifically this role is responsible for:</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Development, delivery and management of the Configuration Management Plan, ensuring that the plan remains current.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Management, and delivery, of the CM/CCM audit function with respect to process / documentation / compliance and development</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Development and introduction of KPIs that provides BE with the required level iof granularity that assures management of the status of CM / CCM within BE</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Prepare and maintain the CM/CCM procedures and processes.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Delivery of changes in a timely manner with effective decisions with respect to engineering implementation, supply &amp; demand, material obsolescence and manufacturing process change</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Support quality functions to ensure the compliance of all changes.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Implement approved design changes (ECN's) within data management systems (Bill of Material maintenance).</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Support the engineering, production and programme functions to manage to flow of engineering change throughout the program lifecycle</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>We are looking for someone who is educated to Degree level or equivalent in a mechanical/manufacturing engineering discipline and/or experience in the following -</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong configuration background, ideally in Aerospace or Defence.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; A good understanding of baselines – understanding the maturity of the product as it goes through the lifecycle.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with Change Management.</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Strong Team Management experience</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Experience with Team Center (PLM) / Catia V5</p> <p>·&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Must be able to interact and work effectively with cross functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization.</p>
