We deliver Facility Management services to both Cleveland Clinic and Healthpoint Hospitals in Abu Dhabi, large-scale medical facilities in Saudi Arabia and a range of educational and commercial properties in the UAE. We also deliver postgraduate education to Officers in the Qatar Armed Forces through the Joaan Bin Jassim Joint Command and Staff College in Doha.Focussing on our core values, and creating a positive environment for employees to thrive, we look forward to a bright future as we continue to grow with the region.</p> <p><strong>Reporting to</strong>: Team Leader Development Training<br /> <strong>Base location</strong>: Dubai</p> <p><strong>Key Purpose</strong><br /> * To design and deliver development training programmes, including simulator training packages as well as generic ATC foundation and basic rating courses across ATC disciplines to meet or exceed operational training requirements ensuring compliance with applicable timeframes, regulations and quality standards.<br /> * The jobholder has a moderate degree of independence and has authorization for decision making issues at medium level. Some decisions must be communicated to Team Leader.<br /> * Makes decisions in situations that fall outside established guidelines or where the choice among options is less obvious.<br /> * Motivates and trains staff, ensures quality of work, utilization of staff, and achievement of work targets, while being an advocate for change and new ways of working.<br /> * The job holder will work in a high pressure environment with demanding deadlines and will require the ability to respond rapidly and adapt priorities. The job holder might work outside ‘normal office hours’ to support Departmental Objectives.</p> <p><strong>Key Accountabilities</strong><br /> * Identify and develop training programmes for dans that address the staff training needs.<br /> * Liaise with other dans departments to coordinate training requirements<br /> * Maintain and develop National Development Program for ATCO’s<br /> * Conduct initial and development training in line with regulatory and unit requirements<br /> * Monitor, measure and report on effectiveness of training in relation to staff performance<br /> * Maintain training records and documents for Development Training as per requirements<br /> * Introduce new training solutions to enhance dans Training quality<br /> * Assist in other duties as required or requested by Team Leader Development Training<br /> * Essential technical and professional skills , knowledge and qualifications<br /> * Have held an ATC License for a minimum of 2 years both in Aerodrome (ADI) and Approach (APS)<br /> * ATC License in Area Control (ACS) preferable<br /> * Further studies and / or qualifications relevant to training, learning and development<br /> * Degree / diploma in a relevant field from an accredited university<br /> * Completion of Instructor Course and Classroom Instructional Techniques Course or similar</p> <p><strong>Skills</strong><br /> * Strong working knowledge of initial and operational ATS training framework<br /> * Thorough understanding of training development and delivery within ATS training department / academy environment<br /> * Familiar with current educational technologies and their implementation solutions<br /> * Excellent instructional, communication, organisational and presentation skills<br /> * Excellent understanding of learning, training and assessing in simulated environment<br /> * Knowledge of ATC automated systems within a simulated ATC environment is required<br /> * Strong team orientation with emphasis on working collaboratively to achieve results<br /> * Customer service, influencing and negotiation skills<br /> * Strong creativity and innovation, including excellent organization and problem solving skills<br /> * Initiative and commitment to achieve results<br /> * Situational awareness, adaptability and innovation<br /> * Computer literacy with MS office packages skills</p> <p><strong>Experience</strong><br /> * Minimum 3 years demonstrated experience in training course development, design and delivery within an ATS training academy environment<br /> * Experience in English Language Proficiency examiner duties preferred<br /> * Experience as an examiner in ATC and in conducting internal audits preferred<br /> * Additional/special features of the role<br /> * Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards<br /> * Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy<br /> * To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organisational HSE responsibilities<br /> * Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment<br /> * Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process</p> <p><strong>Additional Information</strong><br /> Serco is committed to Equal Employment Opportunities and is committed to ensuring the safety of all of its employees through its Zero Harm initiative.
