<p><strong>Airport Contracts Manager<br /> St Helena, South Atlantic<br /> 3 years FTC commencing ASAP<br /> Competitive package circa £75k pa - £97k pa depending on qualifications and experience, includes salary, pension, cost of living, relocation, rent and utilities (see Overseas Vacancy Information).</strong></p> <p>A sub-tropical island of spectacular and beautiful landscapes in the South Atlantic with a warm and friendly population of 4,500, St Helena is a self-governing overseas territory of the UK.</p> <p>For centuries St Helena was only accessible by sea.&nbsp; This changed in 2016 when construction of the St Helena Airport was completed.&nbsp; Airport certification was granted in May 2016 and St Helena Airport is now open and operational.</p> <p>So far St Helena Airport has only catered to chartered and medevac flights.&nbsp; The start of scheduled commercial air services to the St Helena is imminent and this will be a game-changer for the island.</p> <p>You will head up the Airport Operations Section within the SHG Airport Directorate where you will have overall responsibility for:</p> <ul> <li>Aviation regulatory functions within SHG;</li> <li>Facilitation of all matters relating to air access within SHG; and</li> <li>Contract management of all air access related contracts.&nbsp; This includes the final phase of the Airport Design, Build and Operate Contract, the Air Service Provider Contract with the airline providing the scheduled weekly service to the island, and the Fuel Management Contract relating to ground and aviation fuel provision to St Helena.</li> </ul> <p>You will be given significant management responsibilities requiring high-level liaison with a wide variety of stakeholders, so you must be credible at Director level within the aviation industry and have appropriate commercial and negotiating capability.&nbsp; You will have a minimum of 10 years senior management experience in the aviation industry (e.g. with an airport, airline, or regulatory body).&nbsp; Holding appropriate postgraduate qualifications, you will have significant experience of contract management in the aviation industry.&nbsp;</p> <p>We offer an extensive benefits package with 30 days leave per annum, fare paid travel, freight and storage allowances.
