<p><strong>Operations Safety Management System Manager - Dubai</strong></p> <p>The Operations SMS Manager develops, executes and administers the flight and ground operations SMS for the Operator. He/she designs, plans and coordinates with Engineering and other departments, details of the Operations SMS in compliance with industry guidelines and local Regulations. In addition, the holder of this position will be responsible for the Emergency Response Program and SMS database used by the Operator’s safety program. This position is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.</p> <p><strong>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assists the Accountable Manager, SMS Post Holder and Engineering SMS Manager in the development and implementation of the Safety Management System in accordance with UAE GCAA Regulations.</li> <li>Administers, plans and leads Operational SMS risk working groups.</li> <li>Assists the SMS Post holder and the Engineering SMS Manager with the planning and administration of Safety Review Boards.</li> <li>Manages relationships with representatives from all operational departments and the regulatory authority with regards the development and management of the Operator’s SMS.</li> <li>Responsible for the research, analysis and development of the operational hazard identification processes to enhance the SMS.</li> <li>Manages, develops and coordinates operational change management, risk assessments and safety analysis within the Operator’s SMS.</li> <li>Develops, compiles and distributes analysis, trends and statistics based upon operational SMS data and makes recommendations based upon a data driven approach to safety.</li> <li>Responsible for ensuring the Operational Safety Targets and Indicators are updated, monitored and distributed.</li> <li>Tracks safety recommendations, hazards, risks, findings, corrective actions, contributing factors, and root causes to ensure accuracy, reporting and follow-up as necessary.</li> <li>Assists in event-specific investigations into all safety related aspects of company operations, including, but not limited to aircraft accidents, incident, irregular events etc. and as assigned.</li> <li>Develops and administrates reporting as necessary for executive management to include safety and risk findings, corrective actions, and evaluations of the effectiveness of those actions as well as SMS status updates.</li> <li>Manages and exercises and coordinates the Operator’s Emergency Response Plan.</li> <li>Ensures the Operator’s SMS manual is reviewed periodically and kept up to date.</li> <li>Represent the operational safety team at industry and company meetings, industry conferences and events as well as any industry working groups as assigned.</li> <li>Any other duties as assigned by the Accountable Manager and SMS Post holder.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION &amp; EXPERIENCE </strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in an Aviation or Safety discipline, Business Management, or related degree; proven&nbsp;experience in aviation safety; or equivalent combination of education and experience</li> <li>Commercial pilot’s license and/or dispatcher’s certificate desirable</li> <li>Previous experience with SMS management or oversight</li> <li>Prior experience managing an Emergency Response Program within an organization desirable.</li> <li>Strong knowledge in aviation risk management.</li> <li>Proven experience developing and facilitating training programs and presenting to both small and large audiences in various levels of leadership.</li> <li>Prior experience in managing complex projects and initiative</li> </ul> <p><strong>REQUIRED SKILLS </strong></p> <ul> <li>Must have knowledge of corporate/commercial large aircraft operations disciplines and administration.</li> <li>Strong knowledge of aviation safety principles, quality management fundamentals, and regulatory requirements as related to the operation of large transport aircraft.</li> <li>Proven project management experience, management of complex projects and initiatives, and databases as it relates to safety operations.</li> <li>Must be able to speak publicly and make presentations to senior management and employees.</li> <li>Possess a high degree of proficiency with MS Office products (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)</li> <li>Must be able to write comprehensive reports, business correspondence, and author company manuals.</li> <li>Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.</li> <li>Must possess attention to detail and the ability to work in a team environment.</li> </ul> <p><strong>COMPETITIVE SALARY INCLUDING BENEFITS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Business Class Ticket</li> <li>Medical Insurance</li> <li>Education Allowance</li> <li>Villa with paid utilities</li> <li>Provident Fund as per company policy</li> </ul> <p><strong>To apply, please send your CV by clicking on the 'Apply' button.</strong></p>
