<p>LEAD / SENIOR AIRCRAFT DESIGNER – INTERIORS </p> <p> </p> <p>Job Description Tasks ~ </p> <p>Lead designer for an aircraft design team responsible for interior furnishing and interfaces. </p> <p>Definition and development of interiors and their interfaces with aircraft structure and systems.</p> <p>Seating arrangements, cabin liners, partitions, lavatory, baggage compartment, window shades, PSU's, emergency equipment, egress means, etc. </p> <p>Develop preliminary layouts, detail design layouts, develop 3D layouts, design interfaces, structural components and assemblies. </p> <p>Support performance and presentation of design proposals and trade studies. </p> <p>Perform engineering coordination with design department, management, production engineering, sub-contractors and customers. </p> <p> </p> <p>Education ~ </p> <p>Aeronautical Eng. / Mechanical Eng. BSc (or equivalent) / Industrial Designer. </p> <p> </p> <p>Essential Requirements ~</p> <p>More than 10 years’ experience in aircraft interiors related design work. </p> <p>Strong design and integration skills using 3D CAD software. </p> <p>Extensive CATIA V5 CAD experience essential. </p> <p>Capabilities in Product Lifecycle Management tools (PLM software) and configuration management.</p> <p>Experience on recently developed aircraft of the following areas:</p> <p>Material selection, compatibility and manufacturing techniques.</p> <p>Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances (ASME Y14.5M-1994).</p> <p>Working knowledge of applicable certification regulations and requirements. </p> <p>Strong verbal and written communication skills in English language. </p> <p>Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.</p>
