We have been supporting the RTA to operate the Dubai Metro since 2009 and have launched the flagship Saudi Arabia Passenger Rail service from Riyadh to Qassim in 2017. We deliver Facility Management services to Hospitals, Universities, Airports, Military Facilities and Commercial Estates in the UAE and large-scale medical facilities in Saudi Arabia. We also deliver staff training and education to selected officers of the Qatar Armed Forces at the Officers’ training institute located at the Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College in Doha.<br /> Focusing on our core values, and creating a positive environment for employees to thrive, we look forward to a bright future as we continue to grow with the region.</p> <p>We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Flight Operations Inspector who will be responsible in organising and conducting audits, inspections and oversight of Air Operators to ensure that aircrafts, ground facilities and company policies and practices meet the minimum requirements as per international and national safety standards. The successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Senior Aircraft Operations inspector under the management of the Chief Aircraft Operations.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities in the role:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implementation of the Flying Operations Audit & Surveillance Plan/Programs to enable proper oversight of air operators and stakeholders.</li> <li>Inspect and report on flight operations within BCAA to ensure operational and safety standards are maintained.</li> <li>Examine and where necessary flight test applications for flight crew licenses, ratings and relevant endorsements.</li> <li>Examine operations manual prepared by operating organizations and recommend amendment, rejections or approval.</li> <li>Carryout surveillance inspections of air operators and prepare audit safety reports.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>Routinely assess CAA’s policy and procedures covering flight operations aspects of compliance.</li> <li>Provide assistance to other Divisions in the conduct of accident and incident investigations and surveillance operations as required.</li> </ul> <ul> <li>The scope of this position will focus on conducting the audit, inspections and surveillance of all Air Operators to ensure that aircrafts, ground facilities and company policies and practices meet the minimum requirements as directed under ICAO SARPS and CAR ANTR safety standard.</li> <li>The outcome of the work is to satisfy itself of the risks that may impact upon the Authority and aviation in Bahrain are clearly identified and properly managed, recognising that the aviation plays an important role in the economic, social, etc. development and progress of Kingdom of Bahrain.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Minimum candidate experience requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Holder of Commercial Pilot License with Instrument Rating, desirable a current Air Transport Pilot License.</li> <li>Accumulated not less than 5,000 hours as a pilot-in-command of civil or military air transport aircraft.</li> <li>Experience in multi-engine powered aircraft of a Maximum Certified Take-off Gross Weight of 50000 pounds or greater operating under an Airline.</li> <li>Will require knowledge of the Bahrain Civil Air Law, BCAA ANTR and ICAO SARPS.</li> <li>A good command of oral and written English is essential. </li> <li>At least 10 years’ experience in Flight Operations</li> <li>Experience as a training pilot and as pilot-in-command (PIC) in global operations including Trans-oceanic.</li> <li>Experience on advanced technology aircraft</li> <li>Experience as a flight operations/licensing inspector</li> <li>Experience as check pilot or as an instrument standards inspector.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred candidate experience requirements:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university with a specialisation in aeronautical, mechanical or electrical engineering or computer science.</li> <li>Have held previous appointments either in operational management, as an airline pilot and designated examiner, or training instructor</li> <li>Safety and Quality Management experience</li> <li>Risk Management techniques expertise</li> <li>Lead Auditors Certificate</li> <li>Analytical and investigative skills</li> <li>Holds current type rating in one or preferably two of the following:</li> <li>Boeing 737, 757, 767</li> <li>Legacy 600 EMB-135B</li> <li>CL-600-2B16 (CL604 VARIANT)</li> </ul> <p><strong>HSQE Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Willingness and ability to work overtime.</li> <li>Willingness and ability to travel on a regular basis.</li> <li>Willingness and ability to maintain professional aviation currency.</li> <li>Ensure compliance with the Serco Management System and all relevant business processes, procedures and work instructions to deliver all work with appropriate quality and governance standards</li> <li>Ensure security and integrity of all data provided including reporting performance, finance and customer information; reference Serco non-disclosure policy</li> <li>To exercise personal duty of care for their own health, safety and welfare and for those affected by their acts or omissions; reference SMS GSOP-HSE1-6 Serco organisational HSE responsibilities</li> <li>Ensure compliance with all training requirements of Serco and ensure adherence to these requirements at all times whilst in employment</li> <li>Report any accidents, incidents, breaches or potential breaches to appropriate management or the speak up process.</li> </ul> <p>Serco is committed to Equal Employment Opportunities and is committed to ensuring the safety of all of its employees through its Zero Harm initiative.
