<p><strong>Maintenance Test Pilot Airbus Helicopters</strong><br /> Location: RAF Shawbury, reports to MFTS Programme Director – Shawbury and for flying standards Chief Test Pilot<br /> <br /> <strong>OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct helicopter maintenance flight tests and ferries between operator and customer bases</li> <li>Assist the Chief Test Pilot in day to day maintenance flight operations scheduling in conjunction with business demands</li> </ul> <p><strong>MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br /> Under direction of the Chief Test Pilot</p> <ul> <li>Carry out day to day maintenance air tests and ground runs</li> <li>Ferry helicopters between customers and maintenance bases.</li> </ul> <p>Under own initiative</p> <ul> <li>Conduct maintenance flight tests</li> <li>Liaise with (Airbus) MRO to plan maintenance flight tests from Shawbury/Valley</li> </ul> <p><strong>KPIs</strong></p> <ul> <li>Conduct safe operational maintenance test flights in accordance with AHUK Flight Operations Manual and CFAOS</li> </ul> <p><strong>KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be capable of holding both H135 and H145 type ratings</li> <li>Capable of holding a Class One EASA Medical</li> <li>Have a comprehensive working knowledge of MAA 2000 series regulations and CFAOS</li> <li>A good aviation background with an understanding of Airbus Helicopters aircraft systems and engineering</li> <li>Good communicator capable of representing AH UK both to commercial and military customers</li> <li>Have working knowledge of&nbsp; CS27/29 &amp; Part Ops</li> <li>Computer literate in MS Office desktop applications</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SPECIAL TRAINING<br /> ESSENTIAL</strong></p> <ul> <li>&nbsp;Hold an current EASA CPL(H) or equivalent</li> <li>&nbsp;Hold a current Twin Instrument Rating</li> </ul> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Have a minimum of 2000 hours twin engine flying time; varied On Shore flying experience</li> <li>Proven operational experience with H135 and or H145 with a recognized Operator</li> <li>Ex military trained pilot an advantage</li> <li>Instructor TRI/TRE Ratings an advantage</li> <li>NVG qualification an advantage&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;</li> </ul> <p><strong>PERSONALITY REQUIREMENTS<br /> ESSENTIAL</strong></p> <ul> <li>Team player with ability to work effectively under pressure and without on multiple tasks simultaneously</li> <li>Good communication skills; written and verbal</li> <li>Ability to communicate&nbsp; internally and externally at all levels</li> <li>A reliable individual capable of working without close supervision in remote locations</li> </ul> <p><strong>DESIRABLE</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sense of humour, ability to offer an alternative solution and a general optimism</li> </ul> <p><strong>OTHER REQUIREMENTS</strong></p> <ul> <li>A DBS and MOD Security Clearance</li> <li>UK driving License</li> <li>Travel within UK and Europe</li> </ul> <p><strong>To apply please click on the 'Apply' button</strong></p> <p><strong><em>Applicants must have the right to work in the UK</em></strong></p>
