<p>Zenon is delighted to be commissioned by a Maintenance Organisation to source a Stores Assistant on a permanent basis based in the South Coast of England</p> <p>Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager the Stores Assistant shall be responsible for the control of parts and tooling to Part 145 organisation, its outstations and its associated engineering teams. The Stores Assistant will conduct themselves in a professional manner responding to the business requirements of the group in an effective and efficient manner. Will be proactive in warehousing protocol, part accountability and stock rotation. Remain flexible in their approach to work aiding with workload peaks when required. In addition, the Stores Assistant will be required to undertake an out of hours AOG cover on a rotational basis which will include a working / on-call weekend.</p> <p>Benefits:- </p> <p>• Competitive Salary </p> <p>The key responsibilities will be as follows:</p> <ul> <li>Hands on approach to counter service, tool control and part issue.</li> <li>The physical selection of, and completion of stock/tooling issues to meet the needs of the engineering workforce and the subsequent recording of all part transactions using the companies Envision system to ensure auditable / quality processes are met.</li> <li>Completion of stock receipts and goods in processing in accordance with aircraft regulations by ensuring parts are received in the correct condition and regulatory paperwork requirements are met.</li> <li>The prompt chasing of off-core items from the maintenance hangar and processing them back through the supply chain to the appropriate vendors and 3rd party suppliers.</li> <li>Ensure correct storage and distribution of all of components, parts, materials and tools in-line with OEM recommendations and EASA/FAA regulations.</li> <li>Hold an approved Dangerous Goods qualification for ADR & IATA (an external course will be provided).</li> <li>Consignment of Dangerous Goods (once qualified) to and from vendors/outstations.</li> <li>Monitoring of outstation to ensure dispatched items have been received and are logged on the inventory/asset management system (Envision) and subsequently recording any Issues and Receipts at these locations retrospectively as required.</li> <li>The completion of general warehouse administration inclusive of monitoring shelf life items, stock rotation, calibration of tooling and tyre rotation as required to ensure compliance. Collection and delivery of freight as and when required and as directed by the Supply Chain and Engineering.</li> <li>Conducting Daily, Weekly and Monthly checks as requested/required.</li> <li>Undertake AOG “on-call” and working weekend as required on a rotational basis.</li> <li>Out of hours Procurement of Aircraft Spares to meet the needs of the customer whilst on AOG.</li> <li>Ensuring the Warehouse is kept clean, tidy and as efficient as possible and aiding the Supply Chain department where it is most needed and other duties as required.</li> </ul> <p>Skills and Experience Required</p> <ul> <li>Aviation Stores experience an advantage</li> <li>An understanding of good warehousing practice as well as experience in its implementation.</li> <li>Computer literate and have the ability to grasp new process and procedures</li> <li>Ability to follow instructions efficiently and accurately</li> <li>Willingness to complete or already have an in date Dangerous Goods qualification</li> <li>Driving licence a necessity and a willingness to use or already have forklift licence</li> <li>Passport and willingness to hand carry parts if required</li> <li>Ability to use excel in a basic way, entering information and sending out information</li> <li>Flexibility in supporting the business</li> </ul> <p>Why Choose Zenon Aviation?</p> <p>In the ever-changing and dynamic marketplace, Zenon Aviation knows that the support and care we provide to candidates is vital in assisting you in achieving your career aspirations.
