About this role
<p>We have been commissioned by a premier supplier of both Line and Base Maintenance support to the Executive Jet market to source a Health and Safety Advisor on a contract basis for their facilities in the South East of the UK.</p> <p> </p> <p>The successful applicant will advise and actively promote Health Safety and Environmental culture at the client's facility on matters affecting the safety of employees and others, and also assist in managing the environmental impact of the clients’ activities.</p> <p> </p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Assisting managers with Risk Assessments and developing Safe Systems of work with managers to ensure appropriate risk mitigation is implemented</li> <li>Identifying hazards within the workplace and assisting the Safety team to ensure that the Company is compliant with relevant Health Safety and Environmental legislation</li> <li>Carrying out inspections and audits of the company’s UK premises and activities.</li> <li>Working with managers on the practical application of the Groups Health Safety and Environmental policy with particular emphasis on a facility relocation to a new premises.</li> <li>Promoting safety culture, wellbeing and influence positive change;</li> <li>Assisting the Health Safety and Environmental Manager with the organisation and delivery of training</li> <li>Monitoring and investigating accident and incidents, work-related ill health claims and environmental incidents as required</li> <li>Producing management reports, bulletins and other communications</li> <li>Assisting the Health and Safety Manager with ordering and allocating the type and use of Personal Protective Equipment, Work Equipment, etc</li> <li>Using IT management tools to collate and promote policies, procedures and communication as well as updating and maintaining records</li> <li>Supporting the Health Safety & Environment Team, and contributing to the business plans, policies procedures and other management objectives</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Qualifications & Skills:</p> <ul> <li>To hold NEBOSH Certificate, as a minimum</li> <li>First aid at work qualification essential</li> <li>Experience in an engineering or aviation background - desirable</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p>Why Choose Zenon Aviation?</p> <p> </p> <p>In the ever-changing and dynamic marketplace, Zenon Aviation knows that the support and care we provide to candidates is vital in assisting you in achieving your career aspirations.
