<p>We are currently recruiting for several Airworthiness Surveyors to join our existing team based in Gatwick. </p> <p>These roles will play a key role in strengthening our internal design certification capability and support our existing oversight commitments and the UK’s ICAO responsibilities as State of Design, should this be necessary following the UK’s exit from the EU. This is an exciting, high profile opportunity to make a lasting and compelling contribution to the aviation industry.</p> <p>This is a varied role that will offer you the opportunity to work across multiple activities:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct ongoing certification and design organisation oversight</li> <li>Ensure aircraft designs and changes and in-service issues address and meet air worthiness and safety standards</li> <li>Take a lead role in the development of air worthiness requirements both within the UK and with international partners</li> <li>Take responsibility for the performance based regulatory oversight of other types of organisations and individuals</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>You will have not only a consistent track record of providing expert and detailed knowledge within the aviation industry, you’ll also be a great communicator. You will be comfortable and confident challenging when needed as well as capable of operating within multiple business cultures and adapting your style to best suit your audience.</p> <p>You’ll thrive in an environment where you can use your analytical and evaluation skills to consistently provide quality guidance and advice. </p> <p>You will have a good balance of technical knowledge of aircraft certification and aviation regulation rules, combined with personal attributes to inspire and be influential within industry.</p> <p>We are particularly keen to talk to candidates with proven knowledge of: Structures, Avionics/Electrical, Cabin Safety Systems, Hydro-mechanical Systems, Environmental, Rotorcraft etc.</p> <p><strong>Additional Information</strong></p> <p><strong>Closing Date:</strong><strong> Monday 15 October 2018</strong></p> <p><strong>Interview Date: </strong><strong>We will look to interview as soon as possible after the closing date</strong></p> <p><strong>Working with us</strong></p> <p>The CAA is committed to smarter working arrangements and will consider all applications.
