<p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Senior Air Traffic Control Officer</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>Stornoway Airports.</strong></p> <p><strong>Salary up to £63K + OJTI Allowance, Weekend Premium Payments, 27.4% employer’s pension contribution and a generous leave entitlement.</strong></p> <p><strong>Join us as we embrace upon a major change management project involving the use of new air traffic systems to provide an enhanced and sustainable Air Traffic Services to the communities that we serve across the Highlands and Islands.</strong></p> <p>We are now recruiting a SATCO for Stornoway Airport. As SATCO your primary responsibility will be management and oversight of the Air Traffic Service unit to ensure that Air Traffic Services are provided in a safe, efficient, regulatory compliant and cost effective manner. You will be responsible for the management and oversight of ATS related projects and for providing subject matter expertise in support of relevant airport projects. You must hold:</p> <ul> <li> A UK CAA issued ATCO Licence issued in accordance with (EU) 2015/340 with ratings, preferably unit validations, in ADI and APP.</li> <li> A Current CAA Class 3 Aviation Medical Certificate</li> <li> ICAO English Language Proficiency Certificate at Level 5 or higher (if not a native speaker)</li> <li> Ideally you will also hold a Met Observers Certificate and an OJTI and/or Examiners Licence endorsement.</li> </ul> <p>Previous experience of unit management and project management will be a distinct advantage. You must have excellent leadership potential, strong interpersonal skills and possess superior communications skills. You should be a strong team player and people manager capable of make sound decisions under pressure and contribute towards effective interdepartmental team working within the airport. You should also be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of EU and UK regulatory requirements including Safety Management Systems (SMS).</p> <p>As an experienced ATCO you will be expected to successfully validate under an accelerated Unit Training Plan.</p> <p>You will be aware that you may be asked to relocate at some stage in the future to a new ATM Centre which will be located in Inverness.
