<p>Centre&nbsp;Leader - Oxford CAE</p><p>A fantastic opportunity for based at our prestigious CAE Flight Training Organisation (FTO) in Oxford</p><p>CAE has the world's largest civil aviation training network, with 250+ full-flight simulators in 50+ training locations in some of the world's most desirable destinations. Every year, CAE trains more than 120,000 pilots and graduates 1,500+ new pilots across its global network, from its wholly-owned, joint ventures, third-party and authorized training center's.</p><p>The Role:</p><p>The Centre Manger is responsible for managing the operations, resources and budget, balancing cost efficiency and growth initiatives, whilst delivering safe and high-quality flight training. This position is required to oversee the full remit of management of the flight school keeping in mind the productivity and profitability in conjunction with delivering quality training, upholding the customer experience and the safety of cadets and staff. He/she will ensure this is done through strong team work, close collaboration with the global FTO network and corporate departments, and provides leadership by example to staff and customers. The Centre Manager will report directly to the FTO Operations Leader and the Board of Directors when applicable.</p><p>Essential responsibilities;</p><ul> <li>Supervise, manage and coach the Management Team of the FTO, inspiring leadership agility, promoting teamwork and driving performance.</li><li>'Lead by example' by displaying exemplary leadership to managers and employees.</li><li>Collaborate with HR Business Partner to implement key people strategy initiatives to improve performance, culture and engagement at CAE Oxford.</li><li>Direct and supports/facilitates the management direct reports and their department activities consisting of technicians, aviation trainers, professionals, and support staff.</li><li>Oversee the full operational remit of CAE Oxford to drive and improve efficiency in all areas of the FTO including productivity, quality and safety in the best possible way.</li><li>Seek innovative methods to improve the FTO operations, quality of training products, standards and overall profitability and share those actively with CAE management.</li><li>Full responsibility to direct the FTO within the scope of the agreed budget and meet the budgeted targets (productivity, SOI and cost).</li><li>Delivers input for the FTO budget and forecasting of results.</li><li>Responsible for promotion and execution of the Safety Management System and Quality System and for the integration of safe behavior and quality management in everyday operation.</li><li>Establish and maintain a customer focused mindset to ensure delivery of high levels of customer satisfaction.</li><li>Ensures efficient and high-quality Training delivery in line with customer contracts.</li><li>High degree of personal integrity, accountability, ownership and focus</li></ul> <p>Qualifications and Skills</p><ul> <li>An experienced and hands on Change Manager with a proven track record in the aviation business</li><li>Minimum of 5 - 10 years' experience in managing a business with budget responsibility in a commercial environment.</li><li>Minimum of 5- 10 years' experience in managing a team of professionals.</li><li>Experience in airline operations and/or flight training organization.</li><li>Proven track record of successfully managing businesses and growing revenues and profits year over year.</li><li>Confidence to challenge and ability to use sound negotiation skills to resolve impasses</li><li>Be a visionary and able to create / generate / explore ideas for business improvements in every function.</li><li>Proven experience with building a team and creating sustainable collaborative behavior and attitudes within an organization.</li></ul> <p>You can look forward to a competitive salary, pension scheme, medical and life insurance and the opportunity to work for a worldwide leader in training for the civil aviation, defence and security and healthcare markets.</p><p>For further information on this opportunity please submit your CV for an initial review.</p>
