<p>British Airways is the UK's largest international airline and one of the world's leading global premium carriers.</p> <p>Operating one of the most extensive international scheduled airline route networks, together with our joint business agreement, codeshare and franchise partners, we fly to more than 70 different countries. <br /> With a fleet of over 280 aircraft we carry almost 40 million customers a year.</p> <p>As a founding member of oneworld, the alliance of airlines around the globe, we collectively serve some 1,000 destinations across the globe.</p> <p>British Airways Flight Training part of the Global Learning Academy operates 16 Full Flight Simulators (FFS), 4 fixed base simulators (FBS) and associated training equipment manufactured by L3 and CAE.</p> <p>An opportunity has arisen for a <strong>Simulator Engineer </strong>to join our Engineering team, this role is based at London Heathrow, Maintenance Base (TBA).</p> <p>As an experienced Simulator Engineer you will be part of an engineering team maintaining complex flight simulators and visual systems. You will have proven diagnostic, trouble shooting and problem solving skills with experience of working within a team and be self managing.</p> <p>Current experience of working on complex electronics at system level and in computer networking technologies is essential. Understanding of simulator digital techniques, computers, hydraulic and aircraft systems is highly desirable. Shift covers 24/7 on a rotating basis, you will be required to work 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off. </p> <p>Your qualifications should include an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent and HNC/D</p> <p>Please answer the following questions:-</p> <ul> <li>Please describe the key skills and knowledge you will bring to the role.
