Mechanical designer

<p><strong>Mission </strong></p> <p>? In the frame of R&amp;T programs, participate in the high-level design of innovative elctromechanical systems for aerospace.</p> <p>? The designer shall work in close collaboration with CAD designers for the detailed drawings.</p> <p>? The various tasks to perform, from top-level specifications of a product (e.g., an actuator), are :</p> <p>o Participating in high-level trade studies on mechanical parts, especially mechanisms.</p> <p>o Issuing specifications for components and sub-assemblies;</p> <p>o 3D design of the prototype;</p> <p>o Product dimensioning wrt loads;</p> <p>o Technical follow-up of subcontracted mechanical components;</p> <p>o Writing the validation plan including the dedicated test plans;</p> <p>o Follow up of the requirement validation.</p> <p><strong>Required knowledge </strong></p> <p>? Knowledge CATIA V5 – 3D design module and stress analysis module.</p> <p>? Knowledge of aerospace norms regarding mechanical system design.</p> <p>? Knowledge of finite element software (NASTRAN, SAMCEF) is a plus.</p> <p>? Deep knowledge of mechanisms such as roller screws, gear trains, anti-rotation systems, etc.</p> <p><strong>Required experience </strong></p> <p>? Experience in mechanical system design.</p> <p><strong>Travel </strong></p> <p>? Short missions in Europe.</p> <p><strong>Langues </strong></p> <p>? English required.</p> <p>? French and/or Dutch.</p> <p>Other</p> <p>EU passport or work permit required</p> <p>Brussels is the “<em>European Capital</em>”. Plus, the city doesn’t have to envy any other capital for its&nbsp;<strong>shopping</strong>&nbsp;streets. The locals are also pretty&nbsp;<strong>friendly</strong>&nbsp;and sociable. To put it in a nutshell, Brussels offers the kind of lifestyle you’d find in a small city, with the benefits of a big one.
