<p><p>On behalf of our client, a leading specialty manufacturer serving global Aerospace and Defense markets, we are searching for a <strong>SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER</strong> to join their team based in the UK on permanent basis.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>As a <strong>SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER</strong> you will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining supplier’s quality performance and drive supplier quality management, in line with company control procedures and relevant regulatory standards e.g. AS/EN 9100.&nbsp; You will ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Train suppliers and review First Article Inspection reports to AS9102</li> <li>Drive, lead and train suppliers on proper completion of 8Ds through containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action</li> <li>Manage supplier audits and approval process</li> <li>Analyse, track and report nonconformities and corrective actions on supplier rejects</li> <li>Manage and maintain quality assurance of supplier source change process</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Qualifications/Experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Good working knowledge of 8D or DMAIC</li> <li>Degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent professional qualification/experience</li> <li>Experience with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102</li> <li>Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings</li> <li>Proven experience background in Supplier Quality or in a similar role in aerospace or other electromechanical environment</li> <li>Ability to lead supplier improvement projects</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Desirable:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100 and NADCAP</li> <li>Experience in PPAP</li> <li>Knowledge of SPC</li> <li>Experience in supplier Audits or relevant auditing experience</li> <li>Knowledge of aerospace quality management system requirements</li> </ul> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>If you are interested in this job opportunity and are either based in UK or are willing to relocate then please contact Natasha Rawlings for an initial, confidential discussion.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>A little about us…</strong></p> <p>Resource Group is a recognised global leader and trusted provider of resourcing and recruitment services with operations worldwide.
