Supplier Quality Engineer

<p>&lt;p&gt;On behalf of our client, a leading specialty manufacturer serving global Aerospace and Defense markets, we are searching for a &lt;strong&gt;SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER&lt;/strong&gt; to join their team based in the UK on permanent basis.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;As a &lt;strong&gt;SUPPLIER QUALITY ENGINEER&lt;/strong&gt; you will be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining supplier’s quality performance and drive supplier quality management, in line with company control procedures and relevant regulatory standards e.g. AS/EN 9100.&amp;nbsp; You will ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity.&lt;br /&gt; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;Train suppliers and review First Article Inspection reports to AS9102&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Drive, lead and train suppliers on proper completion of 8Ds through containment, root cause analysis, corrective and preventative action&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Manage supplier audits and approval process&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Analyse, track and report nonconformities and corrective actions on supplier rejects&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Manage and maintain quality assurance of supplier source change process&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications/Experience:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;Good working knowledge of 8D or DMAIC&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Degree in electromechanical engineering or equivalent professional qualification/experience&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Experience with First Article Inspection Reports to AS9102&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Proven experience background in Supplier Quality or in a similar role in aerospace or other electromechanical environment&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Ability to lead supplier improvement projects&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Desirable:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;ul&gt; &lt;li&gt;Understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100 and NADCAP&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Experience in PPAP&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Knowledge of SPC&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Experience in supplier Audits or relevant auditing experience&lt;/li&gt; &lt;li&gt;Knowledge of aerospace quality management system requirements&lt;/li&gt; &lt;/ul&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;If you are interested in this job opportunity and are either based in UK or are willing to relocate then please contact Natasha Rawlings for an initial, confidential discussion.&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;A little about us…&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt; &lt;p&gt;Resource Group is a recognised global leader and trusted provider of resourcing and recruitment services with operations worldwide.
