<p>GAL Air Navigation Services (GAL ANS) LLC is currently seeking a number of Communication Navigation Surveillance (CNS) Airside Engineers to join our expanding team at Abu Dhabi Airports. You will be a part of a multi-cultural professional team providing CNS support on behalf of GAL ANS to Abu Dhabi Airports.</p> <p><strong>Abu Dhabi International Airport</strong></p> <p>Currently the second largest airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and one of the fastest growing airport hubs globally, Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) serves over 93 destinations in 56 countries</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <p>As an Airside Engineer you will be responsible to the Head of Engineering Services to provide maintenance support for ground based Communication, Navigation Aids, Surveillance and Meteorology systems at ADAC Airports.</p> <p>Responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li>Attendance of shift or day duties as operationally required and rostered.</li> <li>Supervision of shift activities.</li> <li>Reports to the Senior Engineer (Line Manager).</li> <li>Supervise the senior and airside technicians when necessary troubleshooting, maintaining, operating, and repairing all aspects of the Aeronautical Systems located at the aerodrome.</li> <li>Implement maintenance activities on a daily, weekly and monthly basis as scheduled or required.</li> <li>Maintain/update accurate and detailed documentation, servicing logs and data in a secure and timely manner and produce statistical reports as required.</li> <li>Report directly to the Senior Engineer any issue or occurrence that will or may affect availability of CNS services.</li> <li>Be familiar with ICAO/Eurocontrol and Local Aviation Regulation.</li> <li>Comply with GAL ANS Quality (QMS), HS&E and Safety Management System.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Experience: </strong></p> <p>Minimum Qualifications and Experience for all positions are as follows:</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree Electronics or equivalent</li> <li>Minimum 5 years in an airside CNS maintenance or technical support position addressing a measure of the following disciplines:</li> </ul> <p>RADAR, SMGCS, SMR, MLAT, NAVIGATIONAL AIDS, VHF COMMUNICATIONS, VOICE SWITCHES, VOICE & DATA RECORDERS, AFTN/AMHS, ATC AUTOMATION SYSTEMS, METEOROLOGY, any other supportive ATC systems.</p> <p> </p> <ul> <li>Completed ATSEP Basic, Equipment and System competence or equivalent in relevant disciplines</li> <li>IT and Networking knowledge & skills</li> <li>Demonstrable experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and/or installation of CNS & MET airport systems</li> <li>Working knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook</li> <li>Knowledge of Linux/Unix</li> <li>System data adaptation and configuration</li> <li>Be capable of independent management, system maintenance and analysis. Ability to provide effective coordination of airside maintenance staff</li> <li>Have an excellent understanding ICAO recommendations for ATC and in particular ICAO Annex 10 recommendations for ATC equipment</li> </ul> <p>Be fully conversant with ICAO regulations, standards and documentation and its applicability to both Civil and Military aviation sectors</p>
