Join us and put your passion, determination, and skill to work building the future! #TheFutureIsBuiltHere #ChangeTheWorld</p> <p>This position in Seal Beach, CA is for a Mid-Level Material and Process engineer with a composites/non-metallics background who will:</p> <p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p> <ul> <li>Answer inquiries from airlines with regards to composites, plastics, elastomers and similar materials and processes</li> <li>Revise material and process specifications as necessary for the continued production of spare parts</li> <li>Review and approve suppliers to composites, plastics, elastomers and similar specifications.</li> <li>Work with engineering, supplier management and suppliers to develop process improvements and implement cost reduction initiatives.</li> <li>Oversee part failure analyses related to composites, plastics, elastomers and other non-metallic materials.</li> <li>Review documents and drawings to ensure the correct call out of composite and non-metallic materials and processes appropriate to a part or assembly.</li> <li>Work with and travel to suppliers to approve composite and metal bond parts.</li> </ul> <p><b>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. </b></p> <p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry</li> <li>3+ years of experience with material & process engineering with non-metallic/composites</li> <li>3+ years of experience in reviewing engineering documents, drawings and process specifications</li> <li>Must be able to travel both domestically and internationally</li> <li>Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and occasional weekends when necessary</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering or Material Science</li> <li>5+ years experience in aerospace composite/plastic materials and processes</li> <li>Ability to operate in PDM, CATIA and Enovia to review drawings</li> <li>Drawing review authority</li> <li>Parts Qualification Accreditation</li> </ul> <p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b> </p> <p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.</p> <p><b>Relocation:</b></p> <p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
