Find your future with us.</p> <p>Boeing Test &amp; Evaluation team is looking for an&nbsp;<b><b>Associate Level F/A-18 / EA-18G Flight Test Engineer&nbsp;</b></b>based out of Patuxent River, MD. &nbsp;</p> <p><b><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></b></p> <ul> <li>Directing maintenance activity and controlling configuration on one or more F/A-18 / EA-18G flight test aircraft.</li> <li>Supporting pre-flight briefs, and post-flight debriefs. Briefing test pilots on aircraft configuration, weight &amp; balance, maintenance activity, and changes since last flight at each pre-flight brief.</li> <li>Real-time support and monitoring of test flights.</li> <li>Writing flight reports for each test flight supported.</li> <li>Coordinating with test team personnel, project engineers, maintenance, and US Navy customer.</li> <li>Acting as Liaison between engineering test team and maintenance personnel to accomplish required maintenance and reconfiguration for testing.</li> <li>Creating and issuing timely / accurate paperwork to ensure proper / safe test aircraft configuration to support scheduled flight and ground tests.</li> <li>Conducting effective work program meetings to discuss required work on assigned aircraft, modifications, test schedules, configuration, etc.</li> <li>Assisting Test Conductor with preparation for, and conduct of, F/A-18 and EA-18G&nbsp;test flights.</li> </ul> <p><b><b>This position may require occasional travel short term or long term to different flight test locations in support of flight test programs.</b></b><br /> &nbsp;</p> <p><b><b>Variable Shift:</b></b></p> <p>This position is&nbsp;<b><b>primarily&nbsp;first shift</b></b>, though work hours on&nbsp;second shift&nbsp;or weekend work for extended periods of time may be required to support testing.</p> <p><b><b>This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.</b></b></p> <p><b><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></b></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree or higher in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.</li> </ul> <p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p> <ul> <li>Active Security Clearance</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering</li> <li>Experience working on aircraft ground and/or flight test</li> </ul> <p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p> <p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
