BDA provides Sustainment Support for the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) fleet of AF/A-18A and AF/A-18B (Classic Hornet) aircraft.</p><p>The program has an integrated Commonwealth and contractor workforce, led by BDA, and is currently seeking applications for the role of <strong>Aircraft Life Support Equipment Supervisor Tradesperson</strong> (ALSE).</p><p>The Aircraft Life Support Equipment Supervisor tradesperson (ALSE) located at RAAF Base Williamtown will be responsible for the maintenance of life support equipment components for both operational squadrons and workshops. You will be a part of the Classic Hornet Sustainment Services Program to assist our customer in "maintaining the sting".</p><p></p><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Aircraft Life Support and Furnishings) or equivalent trade qualifications</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years' aviation experience in maintenance of aircraft and have at least 12 months' experience as a fully qualified Tradesperson on Aircraft type.</p></li><li><p>Comprehensive understanding of the design, configuration and integration requirements associated with Aeronautical Life Support Equipment, preferably (Desirable, but not essential) ALSE used in High performance aircraft, fitted with ejection seats</p></li><li><p>Ideally previous experience working with Aeronautical Life Support Equipment, including Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing System, Parachute and restraint harness, Survival Vest, Aircrew mounted oxygen regulators and oxygen masks, Explosive ordnance handling</p></li><li><p>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain an NV1 security clearance.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><ul><li><p>Flexible working options </p></li><li><p>Study assistance </p></li><li><p>Salary packaging </p></li><li><p>Employee Incentive Program </p></li><li><p>Global opportunities</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>How to apply</strong></p><p>View the full Position Description and apply now.</p><p></p>
