About this role

The LCC Analyst operates within a small multidisciplinary team to deliver Asset Management planning services and support to the Wedgetail capability. Working closely with the other members of the team, the LCC Analyst is responsible for performing lifecycle cost, cost benefit and cost of ownership analysis to support the Wedgetail System. The LCC Analyst is required to maintain and modify an existing life cycle cost model and perform appropriate analysis, such as cost driver, sensitivity, risk and trade studie. The LCC Analyst will leverage industry best practice to evaluate value propositions throughout the life-time of the whole weapon system and investigating opportunities for total life cycle cost reduction.<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Essential criteria</strong></p><li><p>Tertiary Qualification in Finance or Applied Mathematics. </p></li><li>Possess the following general knowledge, skills and experience:<ul><li><p>Able to identify, establish and promote LCC process improvements within an organisational element and at the organisational level</p></li><li><p>Able to independently assess and advise on the robustness of LCC approaches proposed or in use by other project staff</p></li><li><p>Able to mentor and coach technical and engineering staff in the correct application of LCC analysis and concepts</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Able to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to SECRET level.</p></li><li><p>Able to conform to ITAR nationality requirements</p></li><li><p>Advanced Microsoft Access skills.</p></li><li><p>Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.</p></li><li><p>Able to work effectively within a group environment and with people across all organizational levels.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Highly Desirable</strong></p><ul><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Experience in an aviation environment providing LCC or Spares Modelling, analysis and support.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Experience in using LCC tools such as CATLOC.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Demonstrated experience with CATLOC/OPUS10/SIMLOX or similar tools.</p></li></ul><p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Desirable criteria</strong></p><ul><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Wedgetail AEW&amp;C System knowledge, skills &amp; experience.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Experienced in working within an ISO 9001quality environment.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Familiarity with airworthiness standards and the ADF's Technical Airworthiness Management system as outlined in the ADF Technical Airworthiness Management Manual (TAMM) AAP 7001.053.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Familiarity with Systems Engineering concepts and approaches.</p></li><li style="text-align: left;"><p>Thorough understanding of Boeing Defence Systems engineering processes and tools. Eg.
