Mid-level Cybersecurity Design Specialist

Find your future with us.</p><p></p><p>The Boeing Company is looking for a mid-level Cybersecurity Design Specialist to join our Information Security team in Bellevue, WA; Kent, WA;St Louis, MO; North Charleston, SC.</p><p></p><p>This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a diverse team of cybersecurity specialists with expertise in many areas and at all levels. The selected candidate will have opportunities for exposure to leading industry experts and influence the design and integration of enterprise security networks and Internet technical controls for multiple products or projects for off network systems and cloud architecture.</p><p></p><p><b>Job Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li>Assists with secure network design with an understanding of cloud architectures</li><li>Assists with creating requirements for technical and security monitoring within Cloud Services along with SIEM integration with cloud security monitoring</li><li>Work in cross functional teams in order to implement technical and security monitoring solutions at the enterprise and Cloud</li><li>Performs threat modeling of network designs to analyze designs for business impact &amp; risk</li><li>Identifying security risks and the compensating controls to mitigate them</li><li>Assists with the development of security product architectures, specifications and intrusion detection or data loss techniques</li><li>Knowledge in monitoring best practices of network solutions, application monitoring environments, both traditional and in cloud solutions</li><li>Assists with defining scope and standards for network security monitoring of network devices, host-based systems and cloud solutions</li><li>Development of KPIs for management review and understanding of value created</li><li>Working knowledge of scripting languages (e.g. Python) needed</li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b><b>Required Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee</li><li>2 plus years experience in networking design/operations is required.</li><li>2 plus years experience designing security solutions on Cloud services</li><li>Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills are required.</li><li>Strong Microsoft office skills are required.</li><li>Strong Network protection skills are required.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></b></p><ul><li>Technical Bachelors degree is highly desired.</li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>Typical Education / Experience:</b></b></p><p>Technical bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or a Master's degree with typically 3 or more years' or a PhD degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
