The role is based at our facility in Wacol, Brisbane.</p><p>Boeing Defence Australia's Structures and Build Capability supports the delivery of world-leading defence products and services. We provide people, expertise, processes and tools to deliver Design and Production capabilities to meet program execution and company growth opportunities. Structures and Build continue to develop integrated capability roadmaps to meet the evolving need of our customers and our business both in Australia and internationally.</p><p>Project Currawong is delivering an Australian designed and developed next-generation Integrated Battlefield Telecommunications Network for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). </p><p>As a BDA employee, you will join other innovative, ethical people who have the critical skills required to develop and deliver world class capabilities and systems to protect Australia and its national interests.</p><p>Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Lead and manage the Currawong Production Change Control Board</p></li><li><p>Identify and define the value chain and strategic program control points applicable to the production aspects of the Currawong program.</p></li><li><p>Develop new engineering principles, advanced technologies and concepts.</p></li><li><p>Recommend and implement solutions to complex production / manufacturing / inventory control problems and conduct research that supports new product and business opportunities.</p></li><li><p>Manage the Basis of Issue (BOI) schedule in alignment with Customer expectations</p></li><li><p>Management and ongoing improvement / refinement of the MRP inventory control process.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Tertiary degree qualifications in relevant technical discipline</p></li><li><p>Ability to obtain RPEQ status</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience in a senior engineering position in a production environment</p></li><li><p>Ability to resolve complex problems that require a high level of ingenuity and innovation</p></li><li><p>Ability to identify, establish and promote engineering process improvements and tools</p></li><li><p>Ability to liaise with and build rapport with stakeholders including the Customer, suppliers, engineers and senior BDA management</p></li><li><p>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong></strong></p><p><strong>Culture</strong></p><p>We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
