Find your future with us.</p><p><p><b>The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS)</b> is seeking a fulltime <b>Associate Field Service Representative Defense </b>to join our <b>Naval & Network Communication Missions </b>team in<b>Kings Bay, GA </b>and <b>Cape Canaveral, FL</b>. This position will support the <b>Electrostatically Supported Gyro Navigator </b>(ESGN, or Trident Navigation System), <b>ESGN-R </b>(high-precision inertial navigation equipment used on SSBNs) and <b>occasional other programs</b>. The ideal candidate will have an interest in pursuing a career in Marine Electronic Ship Systems and Sensors.</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Provides installation, troubleshooting and maintenance, refurbishment and de-installation support to complex electro-mechanical equipment end user in coordination with other field service representatives.</li><li>Utilizes multi-disciplined technical expertise and company knowledge to assist the customer to achieve and sustain a high level of proficiency in the operation and maintenance of company products by investigating product problems, determining causes, and developing and implementing corrective actions.</li><li>Understands customer expectations and assists the customer in interpreting and using support data and documents, provides technical on-the-job and formal training, develops curricula and courseware, and acts as the on-site liaison between the company andcustomer personnel of widely varying backgrounds to gain resolution of significant technical and operational issues.</li><li>Provides technical solutions to a wide variety of difficult problems with limited assistance.</li><li>Must be willing to travel to field locations and accept Domestic / International Temporary Assignments at off-site locations.</li><li>Must be willing to provide periodic duration at-sea support on surface vessels and submarines.</li><li>Must be willing to obtain a required periodic company physical.</li><li>Works under general supervision.</li></ul><p><br /><b>This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret clearance Pre Start and final U.S. Top Secret Security ClearancePost-Start is required.</b></p><p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors Degree or higher.</li><li>Experience reading and interpreting technical documents and / or drawings.</li><li>Experience in setting and using precision measuring tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and / or dial indicators.</li><li>Ability to travel 25% of the time.</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Preferred an Active U.S. Secret security clearance or higher.</li><li>Experience working with Inertial Navigation Systems.</li><li>Experience in receiving, storing, picking, kitting, and shipping processes.</li></ul><p><br /><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.</p><p><p>At the highest level, diversity and inclusion are part of Boeing's values.Having diverse employees, business partners and community relationships is vital to creating advanced aerospace and defense products and services for our diverse customers around the world.
