Join us, and you can build something better for yourself, for our customers and for the world.</p><p></p><p>An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Boeing UK Fixed Wing Supply Chain Execution team for a Supply Chain Specialist - Asset Manager on the P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft programme who will support end users through the fulfillment of materiel demands. This role will be responsible for the day-to-day support and management of assigned parts, liaison with internal and external customers of demand priority/criticality and process implementation of a new programme into the UK. The successful candidate will need to be proactive, agile thinker able to solve complex problems alongside a number of functions to develop and form the strategic supply chain approach for Fixed Wing programmes. </p><p><p>Responsible to the Supply Chain Execution Manager, you will carry out applicable duties and will be aware of, and follow, Boeing's stringent safety procedures and processes.</p><p><p>Position responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Provide resolution of spares inabilities through to satisfaction, providing forecast availability dates to the customer.</li><li>Analyse post production supply chain data to define reorder points and quantities and coordinates for economy of purchases.</li><li>Ensure all spares and material are monitored to initiate redistribution actions to ensure they are in the right place at the right at time.</li><li>Manage supplier and/or customer data regarding products or services to include repair capabilities, capacity and performs assessment of configuration change impact to supply support system.</li><li>Creating innovative supply solutions for requirements not immediately available through life repair and maintenance of assigned aircraft parts.</li><li>Reviews applicability of warranties to allocate costs.</li><li>Identifies and resolves customer supply chain management issues and discrepancies.</li><li>Identifies Supply Chain alternatives to resolve obsolescence issues.</li><li>Track and monitor aircraft warranty/repairable parts throughout the reverse supply chain.</li><li>Create, maintain and submit required reports/metrics that would be used as performance reports provided to the RAF.</li><li>Process all materiel for entering the reverse supply chain on Boeing Log IS and produce any necessary paperwork.</li><li>Supports Company and customer safety processes and procedures by identifying and reporting safety concerns to preclude injury or hardware damage.</li><li>Apply inventory optimisation principles to streamline holdings of slow/non-moving parts.</li><li>Apply Continuous Improvement methodologies to seek opportunities to deliver best value for money to the programme</li><li>Ensure all areas of responsibility are clean and tidy at all times.</li><li>Develop productive working relationships with both colleagues and customers.</li><li>Effectively deal with any queries, correspondence or return of non-conforming spares.</li><li>To carryout/assist in other Supply duties as required by the Supply Chain Execution Manager or the Logistic Team Leader.</li><li>Able to follow standard operating procedures and work in a methodical, tidy and safe manner.</li><li>Support the Supply Chain Execution Manager or Logistic Team Leader with the implementation of Company Policy and Procedure.</li><li>Support and promote Continuous Improvement and Employee Involvement (EI) projects.</li><li>Through the generation sound CI and cost saving methodologies to seek opportunities to best deliver value for money to the programme and the customer.</li><li>Create, maintain and submit contractually required metrics and performance reports to ensure full adherence to our agreed Business key performance indicator's.</li><li>Perform on-call duties as required on a 24 hour 7 days a week rota basis.</li></ul><p><p>Key interfaces include: </p><ul><li>Liaison with other UK Supply Chain functions (Strategic, Supplier Management and Procurement and Tactical Asset Managers).</li><li>Ministry of Defence personnel for the receipt and delivery of aircraft spares.</li><li>Boeing engineering & quality teams to assist with the management of repairable and non-conforming parts.</li><li>Supply Chain employees at dispersed locations throughout the Boeing Defence UK entities</li><li>Attend/host internal meetings as necessary.</li><li>Travel to external training events or meetings with suppliers and customers as required and approved by the Supply Chain Execution Manager.</li></ul><p><p>Required skills / experience:</p><ul><li>Must have experience of supply chain related activities & operations, ideally within the aviation/defence industry in a fast-paced working environment.</li><li>Flexible, highly motivated with a pro-active approach to assigned duties.</li><li>Able to work within a small and dynamic team.</li><li>Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word. Excel and PowerPoint).</li><li>Demonstrate sound communication skills to deal with all customers and colleagues.</li></ul><p><p>Preferred experience:</p><ul><li>Experience working with Military Joint Deployed Inventory (MJDI), Government On-Line Data (GOLD) and Warehouse-On-Web (WOW) software would be an advantageous but not essential.</li><li>Chartered Institute of Procurement Supply qualifications would be advantageous</li></ul><p><p><b>This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency. The successful candidate will hold, or have the ability to obtain, Security Clearance (SC).</b></p><p><p><b>Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.</b></p><p><p><b>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
