<p>Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.</p><p>Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence. </p><p>We currently employ more than 2,500 people across 14 sites in Australia and three international locations and have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth. </p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) are recruiting for a Quality Systems Specialist (QSS), to join our Integrated Quality and Improvement (IQ&I) Team onsite at, Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley. The QSS roles will provide support for the F/A-18F Super Hornet (BDA manages various aspects of the Super Hornet weapons system including engineering, logistics, maintenance, operations support and capability upgrades), Wedgetail Deeper Maintenance Programs (deeper maintenance activity for the E-7A Wedgetail Airborne Early Warning & Control aircraft) and Back Shop operations.</p><p>As part of the IQ&I Team, you will be integral to ensuring ongoing compliance to all applicable regulatory requirements, international standards and contract working agreements. In addition to the key responsibilities below, you will collectively support the IQ&I Team, plan, support and execute IQ&I Policy and governance, assuring the functionality and effectiveness of our systems and processes, facilitating performance measurement and analytical capability and driving continuous business improvement.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><li>Coordinate and collaborate with Program and Functional Leadership Teams to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and efficiency of the Quality Management System (QMS) compliance assurance provisions;</li><li>Develop, implement and maintain Quality directives, policies, processes, procedures, local work instructions and metrics to assure Program, contract and customer, regulatory requirements, international standards and working agreements are effectively deployed;</li><li>Conduct system, internal and supplier audits to identify opportunities for improvement and assess compliance with QMS standards, configuration assurance, related business, regulatory and customer requirements and report results to management;</li><li>Non-conformance management of identified maintenance product activities;</li><li>Tracking, monitoring, measuring and assisting in the maintenance, collection and delivery of performance data for the BDA RAAF Amberley site metrics including that of the QMS and driving, as necessary, remediation response to lagging indicators;</li><li>Identifying and actioning opportunities through stakeholder engagement (e.g., audits, Non-Conformance Reports and Corrective Actions) to drive improvements and provide appropriate support and education to enhance employee capability through engagement and consultation;</li><li>Identifying Program activities that contribute towards company cost saving targets and affordability goals to enhance competiveness and improve productivity;</li><li>Leading and/or coordinating investigations, supporting rectification activities and associated root cause analysis that prevents re-occurrence and assures First Time Quality.</li></ul><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>A minimum of Technical & Further Education qualifications in either Quality Management, Engineering, Project Management or equivalent demonstrated experience;</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated knowledge and application of the ISO 9001 and AS9110 standards;</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated knowledge and application of DASR Part 145, Part M and Part 21J frameworks;</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels;</p></li><li><p>Completed ISO9001 Internal Auditor training by a recognised training organisation;</p></li><li><p>Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a similar quality role and/or within a similar project environment;</p></li><li><p>Australian Citizenship to meet Australian Department of Defence security requirements.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Culture</strong></p><p>We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
