<p>Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.</p><p>Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.</p><p>We currently employ more than 2,500 people across 14 sites in Australia and three international locations and have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth.</p><p></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>We are seeking a talented Technical Writer to become part of the team that support a world class battlefield medium lift helicopter, the CH-47F Chinook. The role will be based at the Army Aviation Centre, Oakey, QLD.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><li>The preparation of new and amended versions of Aircrew Publications</li><li>The development of new and amended Air Publication's in accordance with defence processes, including review, comment and rectification of documentation presented to enable publication</li><li>Incorporation of text and illustrations/pictures and diagrams/sketches into the publications in accordance with detailed standards, specifications, templates and style-sheets.</li><li>Reformatting publications as required when software or publishing standards chang</li><li>Maintain an Army Aviation Air Publication library including incorporation of all amendments/changes</li><li></li></ul><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><li>Knowledge and understanding of flight publication management, including, interim and permanent amendments, supplements and new editions</li><li>Working knowledge of the developmental progression of air publications</li><li>Experience in coordinating the processing of publication amendment requests through the publication sponsor</li><li>Working knowledge of a Product Life Cycle Management (PLM) or Configuration Status Accounting Tool</li><li>Knowledge and understanding of industry configuration management standards such as: ANSI/EIA-649, EIA-HD-649, MIL-HDBK-61, EIA-649_1 and EIA-836 is preferred</li><li>A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within a related industry is desirable</li><li>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Culture</strong></p><p>We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
