Find your future with us!</p><p><p>The Boeing Company is looking for an Aircraft Technician that is located in Ridley Park, PA.</p><p><p><p><b>Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:</b></p><ul><li>Perform service, repairs and overhauls of aircraft to ensure airworthiness</li><li>Build and install mechanical and electrical assemblies and sub-assemblies for aircraft</li><li>Test, develop tool harnesses, troubleshoot and repair installed electrical and radio systems using automatic checkout equipment</li><li>Build major mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies, using assembly drawings, specifications, shop orders, and precision measuring instruments</li><li>Assemble and/or install partial or complete mechanical, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, electrical systems, and components in airframes</li><li>Install, connect, and troubleshoot systems in aircraft</li><li>Perform assembly operations; press and stake bearings and bushings, install and shim small gears, drill and ream holes, rig controls, and balance completed assemblies</li><li>Fabricate, swage, and install tubing, hoses, and master tube templates for production use; build temporary templates to check master contours, dimensions, and assemblies</li><li>Compile operational sheets and bend allowance charts for master tube templates</li><li>Install auto flight, communication, navigation, and interphone equipment</li><li>Conduct functional inspections of all installed systems</li><li>Diagnose malfunctions, and perform adjustments and repairs</li><li>Perform work in accordance with prints, specification and other specified documents</li><li>Adhere to Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practice</li><li>Provide instruction to employees designated to assist with the above duties</li></ul><p><p><p><b>Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: </b></p><p>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</p><p><p><b>Required Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>1-3 years' experience with aircraft systems installation</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>1-3 years experience in defining manufacturing and assembly plans for machining and fabrication of parts, subassemblies, and final assemblies.</li><li>1-3 years experience with subassemblies</li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training.</li><li>Typical experience is a minimum of two (2) years experience in the assembly of mechanical aircraft parts or equivalent. Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal or written instructions</li></ul><p><p><b>Other Relevant Information and Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement</li><li>The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.</li><li>This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
