Find your future with us!</p><p><p>The Boeing Company is looking for a Sheet Metal Assembler that is located in Ridley Park, PA.</p><p><p><p><b>Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:</b></p><p><ul><li>Assemble sheet metal components and sub-assemblies</li><li>Assemble and install airframe sections where tools, parts and procedures have been proven, and where locations are determined by mechanical means or by direct measurements from fixed reference points</li><li>Perform all operations required to install rivets and patented fastenings, and perform bolting or other fastening as specified</li><li>Remove and install designated parts or sub-assemblies to accomplish sealing during progressive stages or assembly</li><li>Check fit, nesting, clearance, position and protective finish of parts prior to permanent installation or assembly; file or trim parts as necessary</li><li>Review completed work for accuracy and perform rework and/or repair as required<br />Perform work in accordance with oral or written instructions and in conformance with<br />Company standards of safety, workmanship, and good housekeeping practice</li></ul><p><p><p><b>Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements: </b></p><p>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</p><p><p><b>Required Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>Minimum of one (1) years of aircraft sheet metal assembly experience or equivalent</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of three (3) years of aircraft sheet metal assembly experience or equivalent</li><li>Ability to read, write and follow verbal or written instructions</li><li>A&P license preferred (or ability to get)</li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><ul><li>High school diploma/GED and/or vocational/trade school training.</li><li>Typical experience is a minimum of two (2) years experience in the assembly of mechanical aircraft parts or equivalent. Requires the ability to read, write and follow verbal or written instructions</li></ul><p><p><b>Other Relevant Information and Requirements:</b></p><ul><li>This is an hourly position governed by the UAW Collective Bargaining agreement</li><li>The selected candidate must be able to work any shift, as assigned.</li><li>This position is located in a location that does not offer relocation.
