Find your future with us.</p><p><p>Boeing Defense, Space & Security is looking for a <b>Lead </b><b><b>Systems Communication Engineer </b></b>to join the team at <b><b>The Kennedy Space Center in Florida.</b></b></p><p><p>Boeing Defense, Space & Securitys (BDS) X-37B is the United States most advanced, state-of-the-art reentry spacecraft. Boeing is the prime contractor for the X-37B Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), an unmanned space vehicle that is used by the United States Air Force to explore reusable space vehicle technologies in support of long-term space objectives.</p><p><p>Objectives of the X-37B program include space experimentation, risk reduction, and concept of operations development. Managed by Experimental Systems Group (ESG), a unit of Boeing Space and Launch Systems, the X-37B is a flexible, affordable and responsive platform balancing the characteristics of a spacecraft and an aircraft. A unit of The Boeing Company and headquartered in St. Louis, BDS is one of the world's largest defense, space and security businesses specializing in innovative and capabilities-driven customer solutions, and the world's largest and most versatile producer of military aircraft and commercial/civil/government space systems.</p><p><br /><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Experienced in system architecture and design; product evaluation and selection</li><li>Experienced in troubleshooting and problem solving complex systems detailed above</li><li>Experienced in hardware installation, cabling and configuration</li><li>Managing end of service life status on all hardware and software and developing mitigation plans as needed</li><li>High level of technical knowledge spanning multiple technologies and engineering disciplines</li><li>Working knowledge of operational procedures and methodologies supporting 24x7 data center operations including configuration management. Actual operations experience is highly desirable</li><li>Provide vision and leadership, perform resource planning, provide detailed reports/status and communicate to multiple levels integrating several program segments</li></ul><p><p><b><b>Frequent Travel is expected.</b></b></p><p><p><b><b>This position requires an active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</b></b></p><p><p><b><b>Program Access are required pre-start</b></b></p><p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Possess a Technical Bachelor's, Master's or a PhD degree (A technical degree is defined as any four year degree, or greater, in a mathematic, scientific or information technology field of study).</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Engineering degree</li></ul><p><p><b><b>Typical Education & Experience: </b></b><br />Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience, 13 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.</p><p><p><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b></p><p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p><p><p>At Boeing, diversity, equity, and inclusion are enduring company values.
