Find your future with us.</p><p><p>This role is based at RAF Lossiemouth to provide Quality Engineering support to the maintenance and modification on the P-8A Poseidon aircraft. This is a key role in providing quality assurance against the MRP Part 145 Regulations and AS9100/9110 standards.</p><p><p>Boeing Defence UK Ltd is looking to appoint a Quality Lead to take responsibility for the provision of Quality Assurance and Compliance monitoring of the P-8A Poseidon Programme at RAF Lossiemouth. A person who is dynamic with a strong ability for self-motivation to lead a team of Quality Engineers/Specialists, carrying out their tasks and objectives, as well as their own tasks and objectives. BDUKs Aircraft Programmes Quality Management System (QMS) is approved by the MAA and meets the requirements of DAOS, MAOS and CFAOS. The Aircraft Programmes Quality system is also certified to ISO9001:2015, AS9100D and AS9110C. The company plans to extend these accreditations to new sites and seek additional certifications in support of its diverse growing business needs. The P-8A Quality Lead be responsible for the day to day quality activities that the quality team perform, contributing to the maintenance of the current certifications and supporting the delivery of new ones as the company grows. The P-8A Quality Lead will be a member of the Aircraft Programmes Quality function and report on Quality matters to the Aircraft Programmes Fixed Wing Quality Manager, with direct access to the Aircraft Programme Quality Manager, the Form 4 post holder.</p><p><p><b><b>Specific duties include</b></b>:</p><ul><li>Lead and delegate appropriate tasks to the P-8A Quality Team to ensure quality oversight of the P-8A programme</li><li>Review, approve and issue authorisations for, Certifying Staff, Support Staff with Supervisory Responsibilities, Support Staff, Quality Staff, MRB Engineers and Field Service Representatives, as applicable</li><li>Reviewing internal occurrence reports, DASORs and acting as lead safety/quality investigator</li><li>Lead auditor, ensuring that all requirements are audited through internal audit every 12 months against MRP Regulations and AS9100/AS9110 standards</li><li>Establishing and maintaining a quality management system, to support/maintain the Boeing approvals held at RAF Lossiemouth</li><li>Liaising with Boeing Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) and Supply Management & Procurement (SM&P) in assessing contractors and sub-contractors, for extension of the quality system. Including reviewing Supplier Statement of Works (SSOW) for new suppliers, or for contract reviews with existing suppliers and assisting SQA</li><li>Review customer and supplier occurrence reports and oversee appropriate investigations</li><li>Review all new and reviewed document control changes</li><li>Review, as part of the Functional Change Board process, all regulatory changes and provide impact statements</li><li>Remain at all times cognisant of the importance of Human Factors and lead/manage your team tasks accordingly</li><li>Leading FOD initiatives and regular walk rounds of Hangar and component workshops</li><li>Review all instances of non-conformance, oversee the Management and inputting of data into Boeing software tools</li><li>Supporting customer on site meetings with regards to Quality Occurrence Reports</li><li>Supporting Boeing Operations Management with regards to on site and contract Quality Assurance</li><li>Conducting and issuing an internal Flight Authorisation Certificate on aircraft that have completed maintenance under the Boeing MRP Part 145 Certificate, if contracted to fly aircraft allotted to BDUK, under CFAOS approval</li><li>Other Quality related tasks as directed by the Fixed Wing Quality Manager</li></ul><p><p><b><b>Essential</b></b></p><p>Previous experience of Quality Assurance Management Processes</p><p>Lead/ Internal Auditor</p><p>Knowledge of MAA Regulations</p><p>Quality Management techniques</p><p><p><b><b>Desirable Education/Experience</b></b></p><p>HNC in an Aerospace/Engineering discipline</p><p>Aircraft Maintenance Experience</p><p>Lead/ Internal Auditor AS9100 /ISO9001</p><p>Experience Aerospace / Defence background</p><p>Previous Fixed Wing or Rotorcraft knowledge and experience</p><p>Continuous Improvement Techniques and Management</p><p><p><b>Work Authorisation: </b>This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll. CA</p><p><b>Security Clearance:</b> This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance.</p><p><b>Visa Status and Relocation: </b>This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Relocation benefits are not available.
