Location:RAAF Base EdinburghCategory:Engineering / TechnicalPosition Type:PermanentJob Reference:BOE/14837951353761 GD.B7.GDA_Lv _2_Technical_Data_Designer.pdf (PDF, 231KB) <br /> Job Specification <br /><br />Share This:<p><strong>About us</strong></p><p>Boeing Defence Australia is shaping the future of aerospace and delivering some of the nation's most important programs for the Australian Defence Force.</p><p>Joining us is a chance to make your mark, working with a diverse team that is united in pushing the boundaries of imagination and excellence.</p><p>We currently employ more than 2,500 people across 14 sites in Australia and three international locations and have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth.</p><p></p><p><strong>The opportunity</strong></p><p>The Publications Data Manager (DM) will be responsible for compiling and maintaining electronic, mechanical and safety information for use in all forms of technical documentation including technical instructions, and any other documentation for technical and operational support of BDA's products.</p><p></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li><p>Produce technical publications and amendments for the P8 platform and training support systems.</p></li><li><p>Review and analysis of technical information and data to support further development of technical publications. </p></li><li><p>Understand and interpret Australian WH&S requirements, to ensure publications comply with local legislative requirements. </p></li><li><p>Translate technical data and existing publications into an appropriate format and promulgate the finalised document to BDAs customers.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li><p>Experience with document and configuration management and release processes.</p></li><li><p>Experience in authoring technical publications.</p></li><li><p>Experience in using product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.</p></li><li><p>Experience with using Adobe Professional, Sharepoint and MS Office.</p></li><li><p>Aircraft Technical Trade Qualification and/or equivalent experience (desirable).</p></li><li><p>Experience/knowledge using the S1000D specification.</p></li><li><p>Experience working in an Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) environment.</p></li><li><p>Good working knowledge of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) regulations.</p></li><li><p>The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.</p></li><li><p>Sufficient technical understanding to allow correct processing of technical information</p></li><li><p>Technical knowledge of military systems.</p></li><li><p>Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements, and be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) Defence Security Clearance Current Australian Citizenship</p></li></ul><p><strong><strong></strong></strong></p><p><strong>Culture</strong></p><p>At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place.
