About this role
<p>The Boeing Company is currently seeking a <b>Mid-Level System Administrator </b>to join their IT Service Operations Department in <b>St. Louis, Missouri or Hazelwood, Missouri.</b></p><p><p>Position Responsibilities Include:</p><ul><li><p>Analyze and support a broad range of basic systems and application support activities</p></li><li><p>Provide support for Windows OS, Unix OS and Linux OS. Provide basic network support</p></li><li><p>Support of VMware ESX environments</p></li><li><p>Provides operations support for both servers and desktop systems</p></li><li><p>Provide analysis of computing requirements</p></li><li><p>Independently able to install, configure, and maintain systems hardware, software and components; assures the computing inventory tracking and shipping</p></li><li><p>Documents and implements computer applications</p></li><li><p>Provides restoration of basic computing service operation</p></li><li><p>Supports activities to ensure security of information and systems</p></li><li><p>Provides comprehensive computing support in closed environments</p></li><li><p>Protects classified and proprietary information</p></li><li><p>Supports security audits as assigned</p></li><li><p>Maintains knowledge of various government and corporate security plans</p></li></ul><p><p><b>This position requires an active U.S.Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)</b></p><p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years experience as a systems administrator</p></li><li><p>1+ years experience in performing hardware installation, modification and testing</p></li><li><p>1+ years experience implementing software</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience with Unix OS and Linux OS</p></li></ul><p><p><b><b>Typical Education & Experience: </b></b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>This position does not offer relocation.
