As a Systems Administrator you will be part of a team that is under the guidance of the Site lead for the daily operations of the Canberra Defence High Frequency Communications Service (DHFCS) sites. The successful candidate will also support the maintenance and installation of IT and Data communications equipment, as well as a host of ancillary communications equipment.</p><p><p><strong>Experience/Qualifications</strong></p><p>To be successful you will have:</p><ul><li><p>Qualifications in IT and/or Electronics, as well as experience in support and maintenance of communications systems</p></li><li><p>Proven experience in: CISCO Network, VMware, Net Backup knowledge, TCP/IP Networking, VoIP methodology, and Maximo</p></li><li><p>Experience in Technical Administration and the following of associated processes and procedures</p></li><li><p>Effective customer interface skills</p></li><li><p>Highly developed documentation and reporting skills</p></li></ul><ul><li><p>Experience in participating in a small technical team</p></li><li><p>An understanding of using Technical Manuals/publications in the repair of equipment and systems.</p></li><li><p>Ability to work extended hours, weekends during peak periods, and be on call as required.</p></li><li><p>Hold a current driver's license.</p></li><li><p>Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet defence security requirements, and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government security clearance (NV2).
