<p>Boeing is seeking an Associate Space Subsystem Engineer with experience in any subsystem. GNC or Embedded software preferred. Experience in any space craft subsystem isequivalent.The GNC engineers will be responsible for operational health and safety of the system hardware and software subsystems for a 24x7 supported system. These individuals must work well in a small team environment, and have reliable work attendance.</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Characterization and analysis of various subsystems for all phases of system operations</li><li>Diagnosing problems in system and identifying the proper factory support personnel to provide solutions to the system problem</li><li>Supporting critical events that require the presence of engineering support to ensure flawless execution</li><li>Oversight and maintenance of real-time software loaded to the systems and subsystems that are assigned to each engineer</li><li>Monitor performance of subsystems, trend the data using analytical tools. As needed develop new tools to improve the ability to analysis the system data</li><li>Responsible for anomaly investigations, fault isolations and recovery activities for given subsystems. Write and maintain all supporting procedures and processes that pertain to assigned subsystem.</li><li>Gather, define, and document system level requirements to support control and mission</li><li>Resolve requirement conflicts</li><li>Perform and document analysis and design of subsystems to validate or assess the system design and/or modes</li><li>Develop solutions and disposition of issues to assure customer satisfaction</li><li>Design trade studies to meet program requirements</li><li>Work independently on assigned projects and seek out guidance and support from peers as needed in a team environment</li><li>Coordinate system changes for your assigned systems with all relevant stake holders prior to execution</li><li>Execute system changes per defined processes ensuring all documentation is up-to-date prior to change</li></ul><p><p><b>Ability to obtain and maintain system operations certification in role is required</b>.</p><p><p><b>This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. </b>A final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Pre-Start is required.</p><p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry</li><li>Experience utilizing in-depth understanding of space/ground interfaces between the ground systems and the space systems (to include software)</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Aerospace engineering degree preferred</li><li>Willing to work nights and occasional holidays</li><li>Experience in satellite/aerospace operations environment is desired</li><li>Familiarity with Linux and Windows</li><li>Proficient with Matlab</li><li>Experience with implementing procedures to verify vehicle system stat of healthProficient or willing to learn Python</li><li>Proficient with a scripting language like Perl</li><li>Able to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as needed with limited notice</li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education & Experience: </b><br />Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.</p><p><p><b>Relocation: </b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
