We currently employ more than 2,500 people across 14 sites in Australia and three international locations and have a range of opportunities available as we plan for future growth.</p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>We are seeking a highly-experienced Mission Systems Principal Engineer to join the Mission Systems and Ground Systems Capability. Your strength will be your ability to leverage your extensive technical experience on large systems integration projects, ideally in the Defence industry, to assist with the design and development of inter-operable solutions. In this opportunity, you will work closely with the engineering teams to implement technology roadmaps across a number of Programs.</p><p>The roles can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown or Adelaide.</p><p><strong>The Ideal Candidate</strong></p><p>We are looking for someone who has demonstrated experience in leading and inspiring technical teams, a creative thinker who looks for innovative solutions, and someone who enjoys collaborating with key stakeholders. Even if you are not sure whether you are qualified we still encourage you to put in an application - at BDA we think outside the box about all our appointments, so have a go.</p><p></p><p>We are looking for someone who has:</p><li>Exceptional understanding and experience in the application of contemporary Mission Systems principles and methodologies</li><li>Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed engineering teams and architects in a Defence environment</li></ul><ul><li><p>Advanced communication and interpersonal skills and a proven ability to engage, influence and negotiate at all levels with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and customers</p></li><li><p>Ability to think strategically and influence campaign and business decisions.</p></li><li><p>Knowledge and experience of complex Airborne, Maritime, or Ground-based mission systems</p></li></ul><li>Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements</li></ul><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><li>Extend existing solutions and set up projects for success by considering future design & integration based upon Value Stream Maps and Domain/Technology Roadmaps</li><li>Be a leader and a champion - inspire, train and be influential in building BDA's expertise in your field</li><li>Support executing programs with technology refreshes and implement best-in-class methodologies and tool sets</li><li>Assisting campaigns with engineering reviews, estimation, make/buy decisions</li><li>Technical leadership within the relevant domain area - developing architectural solutions and/or leading (hardware/software) product development activities through the product life-cycle</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits of working with Boeing</strong></p><ul><li><p>Our commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.
