<p>Boeing Global Services is currently looking for a<b> Production Task Lead </b>to join their team in <b>Fort Greely, Alaska</b>. This position will support the Ground Based Mid-Course Defense (GMD) program. The GMD system is operationally capable to defend the homeland against long-range ballistic missile attacks.</p><p><p>A successful candidate will understand the importance of safety and first pass quality in all operations as well as collaboration and teamwork.</p><p><br /><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Task Leaders must complete On-the-Job-Training and all specified training. The candidate must then be approved by a Standards Board prior to leading tasks. The Task Leader is given overall responsibility to prepare for, conduct, and close a given hazardous/critical task</p></li><li><p>The candidate must demonstrate to their management team, they have the aptitude, ability, attitude and skills to become a Task Leader. The employee must be able to function as a recognized leader of a task or test, can demonstrate the understanding of safe operating procedures,understands task anomaly procedures, emergent task termination protocol, perform system operation assessment, recommend improvements,and can provide solutions using approved engineering and manufacturing processes as related to working configurations</p></li><li><p>Works on and around ordnance, after company provided training and certification has been completed.</p></li><li><p>The tasks may involve cross-functional aspects, which include support and/or work effort contributions from multiple disciplines and organizations.</p></li><li><p>Task Leader will exhibit essential leadership abilities including assuming responsibility for ensuring the complete and safe conduct of the task assigned to them. They must be able to explain a job along with its duties and assignments to team members and organize a teams efforts to accomplish technical instructions.</p></li><li><p>The Task Leader must lead over all phases of a task to ensure: successful conduct and control of activities, prevention of injury to personnel, prevention of damage to articles and equipment and proper handling and disposition of task failures</p></li><li><p>Obtain and understand all related and supporting documentation relevant to the task and ensure its availability while performing the task, identify and assemble all parties contributing to the tasks performance and verify their availability to perform during conduct of the task. Review required activities, to include; task summary and purpose, task flow, applicable procedures, individual task responsibilities and assignments, and discuss potential problems/hazards and how to avoid their occurrence. Ensure all necessary equipment, tools, and materials are available. Pre-coordinate access and clearance requirements.</p></li><li><p>Direct overall work effort, delegate duties and verify performance, ensure all communications are understood and acknowledged, ensure work is conducted strictly to the plan, and in accordance with all work authorization documents, work orders, procedures, detailed Instructions, Boeing policies, and Government directives that apply to the specific task.</p></li><li><p>Document completion of work steps, maintains a safe work environment, and obtains concurrence from other approving/verifying functions (i.e. Quality Assurance, Safety, Engineering and Customer.)</p></li><li><p>This position is subject to various work shifts and schedules, which frequently change to support mission requirements and may include weekends and holidays. Mission requirements and/or work load may require both scheduled and unscheduled overtime</p></li><li><p>Gaining and maintaining Task Lead Certification is a requirement for this position and is a condition of continued employment.</p></li></ul><p><p><b>This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</b></p><p><p><b>Export Control Requirement:</b></p><p>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.</p><p><p><b>BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>This position requires an active Interim Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)</p></li><li><p>Minimum of5 years experience working on Missile Defense or Aerospace Systems</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Previous Experience working on Ground Based Mid-course Defense system highly desirable</p></li><li><p>Prior Ground Based Mid-Course Defense leadership experience a plus</p></li><li><p>Required to support Boeing Team at other locations and be available for off-site training.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to ascend and descend vertical work ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift loads approximately 35 pounds.</p></li><li><p>Must be able to travel domestically.</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education & Experience: </b><br />Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.)</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>This position does not offer relocation.
