<p>The Boeing Defense, Space and Security is seeking<b>Associate Quality Test Specialists (Test Process)</b>at<b> Sylmar, CA.</b></p><p><p>As a small wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, Spectrolab offers the daily variety of work, direct interaction with manufacturing, customers, and suppliers, and family feel of a small company, while offering the benefits and stability of a recognized global industrial champion.</p><p><p>As a member of our<b>Panel array andTest team</b>team, you will have the opportunity to work on projects covering the entire range of Spectrolabs products: everything from large and small solar panels and arrays for a variety of space applications to photolithography tooling used to fabricate the worlds most efficient space solar cells to airborne searchlight, gimbal systems and ground-based high-intensity illuminated test systems.You will also have the opportunity to directly contribute to development programs and to help shape our next-generation improvements in product, process and tooling design.</p><p>You willuse engineering requirements to configure test coupons, and flight test hardware for environmental testing. Help in developing and revising teat plans, test procedures and test processes. Generate and provides instructions for non-conforming test results. Help monitor and evaluate data from test execution. Collaborate with various functional engineering disciplines best case test scenarios as a work around plan.</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li><p>Performs set-up of hardware for Electrical/Functional Test</p></li><li><p>Verifies test equipment is fully functional</p></li><li><p>Provides pertinent comments and/or challenges to procedures</p></li><li><p>Performs coupon development and qualification testing</p></li><li><p>Installs instrumentation (thermocouples, strain gages etc.) for testing</p></li><li><p>In-situ measurement schematics</p></li><li><p>Defines Unique Requirements (cabling, test equipment, specific data to be measured/recorded)</p></li><li><p>Informs of non-test impact Facilities issues (power, L/GN2, cooling water)</p></li><li><p>Informs of Test-impacted Facilities issues (power, L/GN2, cooling water)</p></li><li><p>Maintenance (PM or unexpected) of chambers</p></li><li><p>Creates and maintains Chamber/Test Anomaly Log</p></li></ul><p><p><b>This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</b></p><p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years ofexperiencein environmental qualification testing</p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience in functional testing</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field</p></li><li><p>Experience in installing and routing instrumentation (i.e.thermocouples and strain gauges)</p></li><li><p>Experience in operating and providing maintenance to liquid nitrogen chambers</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education/ Experience: </b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation: </b></p><p>This position is does not offer relocation.Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.</p><p><p><b>Drug Free Workplace:</b></p><p>Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.</p>
