<p><b>Senior Electro Optical Test Engineer, Albuquerque, NM</b></p><p><p>Boeing Laser and Electro-Optical Systems (LEOS), in Albuquerque, NM, is looking for a highly skilled and adaptable <b>Senior Electro Optical Test Engineer (Level 5) </b>to provide Test Engineering support on a multi-disciplinary team supporting the development of both directed energy and electro-optical systems. This position supports of a variety of laser andelectro-optical programs for Government, Industry and internal Boeing customers.</p><p><p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Leads others in the development of standard test methods and processes and applies advanced test technologies to create or improve test methods.</li><li>Writes invention disclosures to protect Boeing Intellectual Property.</li><li>Prepares R&D proposals and presents to internal management and external customer. Applies emerging industry technologies to develop test procedures.</li><li>Reviews critical procedures to identify potential problems and resolve issues. Develops innovative metrology design techniques, processes, methods, or concepts.</li><li>Oversees the integration of new design and manufacturing techniques into test hardware/system designs.</li><li>Analyzes processes for potential improvements and recommends associated changes.</li><li>Develops the standard policies for post-test activity.</li><li>Resolves or oversees resolution of special test procedures.</li><li>Works with the enterprise test and engineering group to standardize evaluation techniques.</li><li>Formulates expectations for test data for new or unique tests.</li><li>Trains and coaches others.</li><li>Works under consultative direction.</li></ul><p><p><p><b>Basic Qualifications, Experience and Education (Required):</b></p><ul><li><p><b>This position requires an active/current U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.). </b></p></li><li>Bachelor's Degree or higher is required.</li><li>10+ years experience with integration and test of large scale systems.</li><li>5+ years' experience performing analysis on EO/IR systems.</li></ul><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):</b><ul><li>Degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or other applicable field.</li><li>Experience with integrating optical systems into platforms.</li><li>Experience effectively communicating and collaborating on multi-discipline teams.</li></ul><b>Typical Education and Experience:</b><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
