<p><b>Introduction:</b></p><p>The ground Crew Lead position is required to coincide with the start of the UK Apache Long Term Training and Support Service (LTTSS) contract, which begins in 2021. This role is required to lead a small team of ground crew personnel providing aircraft ground movement and refuelling for UK Apache AH-64E aircraft. This is a full-time position, with some shift work, based at Middle Wallop, Hampshire.</p><p><p><b>Responsibilities: </b></p><p>The post willplan, conductand oversee the aircraft ground movement and refuelling tasks required by the Operational Conversion Unit (OCU) and, in due course, the Fleet Support Facility (FSF). The post will require good leadership, planning and interpersonal skills in order to blend ground crew and non-ground crew personnel into effective and safe ground movement teams as required.</p><p><p>Duties include:</p><ul><li>Leading the Ground Crew Team (~5-7 core staff) in support of the Apache AH-64E Operational conversion Unit (OCU) and Fleet Support Facility (FSF).</li><li>Organisation, leadership and supervision of ground movement tasks for the Apache AH-64E*.</li><li>Organisation, leadership and supervision of refuelling and de-fuelling tasks for the Apache AH-64E, specifically the connection and disconnection of MOD-supplied refuelling/de-fuelling equipment to/from the aircraft*.</li><li>Organisation, leadership and supervision of aircraft starts and shut-downs*.</li><li>Organisation of ground crew personnel into sub-teams appropriate to support the Flying Programme (FLYPRO), ground run and flight test schedules for both the OCU and FSF.</li><li>Integration, briefing and supervision of non-ground crew personnel working as part of ground movement teams/tasks.</li><li>Planning, delivery and supervision of experiential learning (on-the-job training) for personnel conducting ground movement, refuelling/de-fuelling and aircraft start/shut-down tasks on the Apache AH-64E.</li><li>Risk and safety assessment of the conduct of ground movement, refuelling/de-fuelling and aircraft start/shut-down tasks on the Apache AH-64E.</li><li>Briefing Boeing and Customer leaders on the conduct of ground operations.</li></ul><p><p><b>Required Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>Experience of operating in the UK military Air Environment (MAE).</li><li>Experience of military rotorcraft ground movement and refuelling</li><li>Experience in a leadership role</li><li>Demonstrable planning and</li><li>Full understanding of a regulated and safety-compliant air environment</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications: </b></p><ul><li>Experience in delivery of support to, and operating safely with rotorcraft</li><li>A relevant qualification, at UK NQF Level 3 or above, would be appropriate for this role</li></ul><p><p><b>Work Authorisation: </b>This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK. Candidates must have current legal authorisation to work immediately in the United Kingdom. Boeing will not attempt to obtain Immigration and labour sponsorship for any applicants.
