<p>This post is for a <b>Procurement Agent Intern </b>to work within the Supply chain function in Boeing Defence UK (BDUK) based in <b>Gosport</b>. BDUK is a subsidiary of the Boeing Company and currently employs over 1,200 people in the UK. BDUK is responsible for delivering several exciting contracts to our UK defence customers including E-7 AEW&C, P-8A Maritime Patrol Aircraft, C4ISR Services, and Through Life Support for the Chinook & Apache Fleets, Logistic Information Services and Training Services.</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><p>Sustainment programme for UK Chinook providing air system and component maintenance, technical and supply chain support to support the 60 UK RAF Chinooks on behalf of UK MoD, providing safety critical and performance capability enhancements, and major structural repairs.</p></li><li><p>Prime Contract held by BDUK with supporting subcontracts with UK and international suppliers managed through UK and US based procurement teams.</p></li><li><p>Key responsibilities will be supporting UK sourcing strategy, managing inventory levels, negotiating pricing and terms, preparing and issuing contracting documentation, managing supplier and functional performance targets, supporting Risk, Issue and Opportunity, identification and project management for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives.</p></li><li><p>Team members will engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders to facilitate positive information flow between supply chain management, engineering, programme management, commercial and finance, quality and operations.</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.</b></p><p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Strong written and oral communication skills</p></li><li><p>IT proficient (particularly Excel, PowerPoint)</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Studying towards a business degree, with interest or focus on supply chain</p></li><li><p>Strong analytical skills with a focus for detail</p></li><li><p>Drive and enthusiasm</p></li><li><p>Integrity and strong ethical values</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education & Experience:</b></p><ul><li><p>Skilled team member/contributor</p></li><li><p>Driving for business results</p></li><li><p>Customer satisfaction focus</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Relocation:</b><br />This position does not offer relocation.
