<p>The <b>Maritime Undersea/Autonomous Systems </b>organization is currently seeking a self-motivated <b>Systems Administrator</b> to join the Mission Systems Operations group located in<b> Herndon, VA</b>.You willassist in the end-to-end solutions in a growing program that provides operations and engineering improvements of a mission-critical system in a dynamic real-time operations environment.</p><p><p>As a member of our Mission Systems Operations team, youwill bean integral part of assisting in developing hardware and software solutions for a proprietary program. We translate customer needs into detailed requirements for system integrated designs including system architectures for current operations and program growth, facility design, hardware selection, software selection/development, system integration, testing and operations/maintenance. The successful candidate will need to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment, and must be a self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT).</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><p>Perform system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture</p></li><li><p>Install, configure and maintain multi-platform systems hardware, software and components</p></li><li><p>Plan, develop, design, integrate and maintain all computer applications, including specialized applications specific to the programs objectives</p></li><li><p>Ensure systems conform to architectural objectives</p></li><li><p>Evaluate complex system's production readiness and supportability</p></li><li><p>Perform complex system problem identification and resolution</p></li><li><p>Integrate security solutions into information systems</p></li><li><p>Monitor system performance to support capacity planning, backup and disaster recovery planning</p></li><li><p>Experience in both Windows and Linux administration, or one with the ability to learn</p></li><li><p>Identify, evaluate and document complex computing system requirements.</p></li><li><p>Participate in activities to architect, design, build and test delivery systems and components</p></li><li><p>Provides technical evaluation on product usability, affordability, functionality, security and performance to assess suitability for integration into delivery system environments</p></li><li><p>Patch management</p></li></ul><p><p><b>This position requires an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Security Clearance.</b> (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.) This position is contingent on clearance verification, adjudication and customer concurrence.</p><p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience with COTS integration in a Linux or Windows environment</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li><p>TS/SCI w/CI Poly</p></li><li><p>Security + certification</p></li><li><p>Systems Administration experience</p></li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience:</b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b><br />Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
