<p>Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity to join a Supply Chain Contracting team in Tukwila, WA as an experienced Procurement Agent and join us on a journey that navigates one of the most complex supply chains in the world.<br /><br />This team procures goods and services in support of all Boeing Defense Programs and offers a unique opportunity to support and enable operations across many areas of the Boeing Company. The procurement agent will execute and manage contracts for a variety of products and services that range in value and complexity. The ideal candidate possesses operational and financial business acumen, adaptability, effective communication skills, problem solving skills, conflict management skills, and initiative.</p><p><p><b>Position Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>Issue Request for Proposals/Quotes.</li><li>Prioritize and manage purchase requisition queue.</li><li>Perform proposal fact-finding and Price and Cost analysis.</li><li>Develop and communicate procurement plans to internal and external customers.</li><li>Develop negotiation strategies utilizing supplier cost & pricing data.</li><li>Contract terms and conditions and prepare contractual documents and binding agreements.</li><li>Manage supplier performance to ensure delivery, quality, financial stability and other key support programs.</li><li>Drive for cultivating and maintaining the supplier relationship.</li><li>Process Improvements by utilizing Risk, issue, and opportunity analysis.</li><li>Conflict Management/Resolution.</li></ul><p><p><b>The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. US Person includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.</b></p><p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Associates degree or higher.</li><li>3+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management.</li></ul><p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):</b></p><ul><li>Bachelors degree or higher.</li></ul><ul><li>Passion for Aerospace Products and Services.</li><li>3+ years of experience negotiating non-competitive, government procurement that exceed the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) threshold.</li><li>3+ years of experience working with multiple contracts types- FFP, CPFF, T&M.</li><li>3+ years of experience with an MRP system and how it applies to production control and the purchasing process.</li><li>3+ years of experience in government related procurement with adherence to FAR/DFAR.</li><li>BDS Commons Systems Tools Suite Experience.</li></ul><p><p><b>Typical Education/Experience: </b></p><p>Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master + 4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).</p><p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
