<p><b>Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) Total Quality and Operations, </b>is seeking a <b>Mid-Level Quality Engineer</b> (Level 3), in <b>El Segundo, CA. </b>Boeing El Segundo is the home of the Satellite Center supporting commercial and government platforms.</p><p></p><p><b>Primary Responsibilities: </b></p><ul><li><p>Provides Quality interpretation of requirements.</p></li><li><p>Understands and applies Quality practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts</p></li><li><p>Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.</p></li><li><p>Conducts capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection activities.</p></li><li><p>Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.</p></li><li><p>Performs analysis, tests and process audits to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.</p></li><li><p>Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.</p></li><li><p>Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.</p></li><li><p>Recommends corrective actions to address non-conformances.</p></li><li><p>Performs benchmarking and other forms of analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.</p></li><li><p>Works under general direction.</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>This position requires an active U.S. Secret Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active). </b></p><p></p><p><b>Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): </b></p><ul><li><p>3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)</p></li><li><p>3+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer (Quality Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Software Quality Engineer or Program Quality Engineer).</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): </b></p><ul><li><p>Experience working in the aerospace industry</p></li><li><p>Experience in receiving inspection</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with using Lean+ and/or Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) tools and techniques</p></li><li><p>American Society of Quality (ASQ) certification</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Typical Education/ Experience:</b></p><p>Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation.</p><p></p><p><b>Relocation:</b></p><p>Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
